[opensuse-buildservice] Howto: Build kernel modules with build service

Hi, I searched your mailing list and the documentation. But have no clue, howto do it. What I want to do: Put a kernel module into the build service and the result should be a compiled kernel module for all kernel versions (not just the base kernel level) of SLES10 SP0, SP1, SP2. [opensuse-buildservice] Getting devel project for a list of packages

Hi, I'd like to get the devel project for all packages in openSUSE:Factory. So I started doing a 'for all package in openSUSE:Factory, look at meta' loop, but it took 16 minutes to reach dbus-1. Obviously slow, and probably not a good thing to do. Is there a good way to have this information? [opensuse-buildservice] Multiple kernel versions?

Hello, I apologize if this has been asked before... I am wondering if/when the build service will provide the capability to build on different kernel versions. For instance, openSUSE 11.0 released with kernel 2.6.25.5. But since then, there have been kernel updates (e.g., 2.6.25.16). Because the kABI changed, kernel module packages (such as dazuko) need to be rebuilt against the new kernels. Will the OBS support this feature? Hi, I'd like to extend the hermes messages with some little guidance on what to do with each of them. For example, a change request currently just gives the dry facts of what has been submitted where to. I'm proposing the message to also contain the osc command line to show the diff, and the osc command lines to accept, decline (or retract), for cut&paste, like this: @subject: submit-request #1543 created (target: openSUSE:Factory) User <maw> has submitted the request to accept project: GNOME:Factory package: poppler revision: a110b4214d63ac92f41eea8d7a457d85 into project: openSUSE:Factory package: poppler Please handle the request... To review: osc submitreq show --diff 1543 To accept: osc submitreq accept 1543 To decline: osc submitreq decline 1543 --message "please resubmit with fixed changelog" To retract: os submitreq delete 1543 --message "actually this change won't work, sorry." [opensuse-buildservice] broken link after submitreq

[opensuse-buildservice] Automatically create link in development project

Hi, When we submit a brand new package to Factory (needs to be done via autobuild at the moment), it appears after a while in openSUSE:Factory. However, it seems we have to monitor this to then create a link in the development project (GNOME:Factory, in the case that's of interest to me). Since this is a manual step, it's easily forgotten. Is there something that can be done to automate this? Hello. I spotted somewhere windows binaries in Build Service repositories, but I'm unable to add such repo nor I found nothing usable searching the wiki pages. Could anybody point me how can I do binaries for MS Windows within Build Service? Thank you. Hello, I have a local BS, where I recompile a couple of BS repos (KDE 4.1 and extra apps) and some packages for openSUSE 11.0 PPC. My question is, if there is an easy way to check, if a repository or package has changed since I last compiled it. Right now all I can do is to compare dates or version numbers manually. The ideal would be an e-mail alert, if a package I mark somewhere is changed... [opensuse-buildservice] Requesting to create a top level project for evolution

Hi, We would like to create a top-level project for evolution to provide daily builds from svn trunk. Since we do not have sufficient permissions, it would be great if someone creates it for us or grant permissions for the same. We also have some queries on using build-service for creating builds from svn sources, * Does build-service has an option to check-out sources from svn.. * Is it possible to set an option which triggers build at set intervals (daily/weekly etc.) I searched for the above options, build could not find them. If its not there already, is someone working on it?
