Wrong path to %{name}.lang in %files section when use tarball-less source service

Hello! I am try to follow a 'Avoid tar balls' section of OBS documentation at https://openbuildservice.org/help/manuals/obs-user-guide/cha.obs.best-pract… and got an error when processing a lang package files: "[ 555s] Processing files: mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch [ 555s] error: Could not open %files file /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch/mypackage.lang: No such file or directory" Extra leading directories are present in the path: /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/... I was looking for how %files -f works, but it looks like the basic rpm functionality, not a macro. Probably I can fix it by setting some variable manually before processing? My specfile looks like at guide: %if %{build_tar_ball} Source0: %{name}-%{version}.tar.bz2 %else Source0: _service %endif ... %prep %if %{build_tar_ball} %setup -q %else %setup -n %_sourcedir/%name-%version -T -D %endif _service: <services> <service name="obs_scm"> <param name="url">git://git.code.sf.net/p/mypackage/code</param> <param name="scm">git</param> <param name="versionformat">2.5+git%cd.%h</param> <param name="filename">mypackage</param> </service> <service mode="buildtime" name="set_version"/> </services> But when %define build_tar_ball 1 - the package build successful, %file -f path is correct. Looks like a bug... Or I am doing something wrong?

How to change my e-mail address for build.o.o

There are several threads asking this very same question. The latest I found was this one: https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/buildservice@lists.opensuse.org/th…. However I still do not find an answer to that question. What I tried: - Going to my profile on build.o.o and edit my profile: The e-mail address is not editable. - Change the user meta via `osc meta user -e letsfindaway`: Does not change anything. - Login to Micro Focus and try to edit my profile there: The e-mail address is not editable. So what is the way to change the e-mail address listed on my profile in build.o.o and used to send e-mail notifications? Thanks for any insights and pointers! Martin

CentOS 8 Stream builds unresolvable

Hi, For some time, CentOS 8 Stream builds are unresolvable because of the following error: unresolvable: nothing provides gcc = 8.5.0-18.el8 needed by gcc-c++, (got version 8.5.0-15.el8), nothing provides libgomp = 8.5.0-15.el8 needed by gcc, (got version 8.5.0-18.el8) Can someone please have a look at it? I doubt that it is a Centos problem and they have broken gcc packages in the distro for weeks... Thanks M.

Cannot change email

Hello, I need to change my email address on https://build.opensuse.org/ because my old email address will stop working. From the page https://build.opensuse.org/users/fbauzac there is still my old address at mykolab. When I click "Edit", I cannot update the field directly, though there is a link for "other changes": https://idp-portal.suse.com/univention/self-service/#page=profiledata When I try to follow the "Change E-Mail Address" link, it looks like it already knows my new email address because it is already filled in the fields. And indeed, when I hit "Save", it doesn't change anything on https://build.opensuse.org/users/fbauzac. What should I do? Can anybody help? Thanks! Hi, I just wonder if it is normal, that I currently have extremly slow bandwith to build.o.o when trying to do a openSUSE:Factory:zSystems testbuild with type qemu. The Package that I am interested in is python-onnx, and it is now downloading for 58 Minutes without any end in sight. Yes, I see some progres at /tmp/osc_build* with data rates at about typical ISDN data rates, however this is not really workable. When pinging build.opensuse.org, I get a considerable number of package drops, and tracepath tells me, that half of the latencies are added from within the twelve99 network. My own network is connected with 100/40 MBit to the internet (downstream/upstream) and works as desired (actual rates is 106/42). only aarch64 packages build

Hi, three days ago I created a new subproject in preperation of a new release. This subproject has almost the same meta file as one of its siblings. However x86_64 packages are not build at all, only aarch64 builds are running. Is there currently any problem building x86_64 packages? Tackling spam on build.o.o

Hi, In response to growing numbers of spam accounts and comments (see mailing list threads, progress.o.o), perhaps it is time — for lack of a better solution at present — that some restrictions on new users be imposed. I suggest not allowing new users to comment unless they have a commit or before 30 days from creating their account, whichever comes earlier. The OBS is a packager's workspace after all and we should not have users creating accounts just to comment on others' work in the first place.¹ Best wishes, ¹ There are also some accounts that just go around posting comments saying 'update this or that', and for all intents and purposes those should be treated as spam as well.
