[opensuse-buildservice] Add external source to a package?

Hello, I want to update the package ja2-stracciatella in the games repository to version 0.17.0. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:Kieltux:branches:games/ja2-str… The new version needs the library string_theory which is not available for openSUSE. The build process wants to download string_theory from github, because it is not found. [opensuse-buildservice] Compiler Cache (Ccache) support in Open Build Service

Hello, Long running compilation can now leverage ccache[1] to speed up the build process. This feature can be enabled per package in the project config: BuildFlags: useccahe:<packagename> example: https://build.opensuse.org/projects/home:sjamgade:branches:science:machinel… Once enabled per package, it will be enabled for all architectures and repositories. https://openbuildservice.org/help/manuals/obs-user-guide/cha.obs.prjconfig.… (grep ccache) --- The ccache tar file is collected only on *successful builds with changed result*. It is extracted for every build at /.ccache/ if enabled. This build artifact is not versioned and only the latest tar is stored. It can be downloaded from the webui or osc. https://build.opensuse.org/package/binaries/home:sjamgade:branches:science:… osc getbinaries --ccache -M standard home:sjamgade:branches:science:machinelearning tensorflow openSUSE_Tumbleweed x86_64 _ccache.tar osc getbinaries --ccache $prj $pkg $repo $arch _ccache.tar This archive can be further used for local builds too. osc build --pkg-ccache /full/path/to/_ccache. [opensuse-buildservice] Short OBS downtime this Saturday

Hi OBS users, we need to do a little database maintenance on Saturday at 21:00 UTC. The buildservice will not be available for about 30 minutes. The build service will still schedule and finish builds in that time, but the API and the Web UI will not be available. signer: bad header size, build is stuck

Hello, I have a big package that is in the sign phase of the build but the signer has an issue and the package never leaves this stage. This is a part from the log: 2021-01-29 09:36:17: [1439] signer started waiting for an event... signing x86_64/<package> /srv/obs/jobs/x86_64/<package>.src.rpm: bad header size (3757400034) sign failed: 256 - checking digest /srv/obs/jobs/x86_64/<package>:dir/<package>.src.rpm: digests OK sign failed: sign /srv/obs/jobs/x86_64/<package>:dir/<package>.src.rpm failed I tried to find out if I can restart the signing or the build process, but the restart build button does not restart the build here. I rebooted the server which results in the same issue... The only thing I can think of now is to delete and recreate the package, wait 3hours for the build and hope the signer then works... What can I do to get past the sign stage? There is no hope to get the package smaller btw. Best regards, Mark

md5sum of a package

Hi list, I am wondering, how is the md5sum of a package[1] calculated? I have tried the md5sum of all the files[2], but that did not appear to match (also, the question is in which order would the files be concatenated). openSUSE:Tools for CentOS8 not building

Hi, We noticed today at Uyuni that, since yesterday, our CentOS8 client tools packages [1] were marked as unresolvable with the error: nothing provides perl(:MODULE_COMPAT_5.26.3) needed by perl-Term-Table We didn't change anything at the prjconfig or the meta config during the last days, so after several tests, we noticed we were having this problem because we dependend on openSUSE:Tools: <repository name="CentOS_8"> <releasetarget project="systemsmanagement:Uyuni:Stable:CentOS8-Uyuni- Client-Tools" repository="CentOS_8" trigger="manual"/> <path project="openSUSE:Tools" repository="CentOS_8"/> <path project="CentOS:CentOS-8" repository="standard"/> <arch>x86_64</arch> <arch>ppc64le</arch> </repository> After checking openSUSE:Tools we noticed that pretty much all packages are marked as unresolvable for CentOS8, a lot of them with the same problem we had. So after removing the inheritance against openSUSE:Tools and copypac'ing the packages we need, our packages are building again just fine. How to solve recursive build when using obs to build debian 10?

Hi, I am using obs to build debian 10 for mipe64el. I have built about 5000 packages. Currently ,I have some problems. I used "rebuild=local" in the meta configuration file. Because when this configuration item is not used, the building seems to be unable to end, but I see from <user-guild> that using this configuration item will cause the built system to be unstable. Does anyone know how to solve it? Thank you！

debtransform now appending a build number to packages

It appears that the debtransform script was upgraded sometime in the past week, and the new version now appends a build number to the package by default. The result was that my Debian 10 and Testing Wine packages failed with an error about being unable to create a package in native format, though the Ubuntu packages did build. I solved the build issue by changing the format to quilt, but I really don't want that number appended. Is there a way to turn that feature off? -- Rosanne DiMesio <dimesio(a)gmail.com>
