[opensuse-buildservice] enabling networking for workers

Hello All, I'm running a private instance and I'd like to enable networking on my workers so they can build some java apps, via maven, which need to download pom's/war's from the net. [opensuse-buildservice] How to use multibuild

I try to add a new board to openSUSE:Factory:ARM. I did this already in the past and for doing that I had to modify the JeOS package and add links to it with JeOS-<boardname>. Those links are no more in openSUSE:Factory:ARM, instead of this the JeOS package contains now a "_multibuild" file, which is generated by the pre_checkin.sh script. I added my board to pre_checkin.sh. But how to trigger now the build of my new added board image instead of the native JeOS image? [opensuse-buildservice] Leap: provider krb5 is conflicted by installed krb5-mini

Since end of last week one pkg in external buildservice is in state unresolvable for Leap 42.1 and 42.2: unresolvable: conflict for provider of krb5 needed by samba-libs (provider krb5 is conflicted by installed krb5-mini) samba-libs links against krb5. pkgA links against samba-libs, this one builds fine. pkgB has pkgA in BuildRequires and it is now in state unresolvable. Its unclear why this happens now, samba links to krb5 since forever, and pkgA links to samba-libs also since a very long time. There is nothing obvious in prjconf and its history. Any idea what the reason could be? Olaf

[opensuse-buildservice] Mysterious build failures: i586 chroot on CentOS 7 host

Hi all, I am setting up a private OBS to build packages for Scientific Linux 6 (i586, x86_64) and CentOS 7 (x86_64 only). Going out on a limb, I have installed obsworker on various SL/CentOS boxes, rather than openSUSE VMs. Rationale: a similar setup has been working fine for us for years with OBS 2.3; we are a Red Hat shop, with SL 6 or CentOS 7 installed directly on the hardware, and I figure builds will be faster with less layers of virtualization in the way. But I'm having some bizarre problems building i586 packages on CentOS 7 hosts. They all seem to boil down to one thing: the filesystem does not behave properly. Specifically, simple programs that do simple filesystem operations, like "which" or "alternatives" or "pkg-config", fail in very strange ways. The same packages build just fine for x86_64 SL 6 on CentOS 7. And they build just fine for i586 SL 6 on an SL 6 host. The only time builds fail mysteriously is when the build host is CentOS 7, and the build target is i586 SL 6. And not all packages fail, just some. Example failure: building c3p0, a Java connection pool library because /usr/bin/java does not exist. Here's the chain of failures: * setting up the build chroot installs java-1.6.0-openjdk-1:1.6.0.35-1.13.7.1.el6_6 * postinstall script for that package fails when running "alternatives --install [...]", which is supposed to ensure that /usr/bin/java exists: [ 99s] [229/244] installing java-1.6.0-openjdk-1:1.6.0.35-1.13.7.1.el6_6 [ 105s] altdir /etc/alternatives invalid [ 105s] altdir /etc/alternatives invalid [ 105s] altdir /etc/alternatives invalid * thus, no /etc/alternatives/java * thus, no /usr/bin/java * thus, /usr/bin/ant crashes with "Couldn't find java virtual machine" * thus, build fails I should note that several other RPM operations failed while setting up the build chroot. Lots of packages printed "altdir /etc/alternatives invalid" errors. Others were even worse: [ 75s] [183/244] installing fontconfig-2.8.0-5.el6 [ 77s] "/usr/share/fonts": Value too large for defined data type [ 77s] warning: %post(fontconfig-2.8.0-5.el6.i686) scriptlet failed, exit status 1 [ 77s] [184/244] installing gpm-1.20.6-12.el6 [ 78s] /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.YKOvqv: line 1: 17643 Bus error /sbin/chkconfig --add gpm I can easily reproduce the error if I enter the build chroot myself: $ sudo chroot /data/obs/build/root_3 /bin/bash bash-4.1# alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk/bin/java 16000 altdir /etc/alternatives invalid strace output is ... unhelpful. I see no obviously failing system calls. I see a *successful* "stat64("/etc/alternatives", {st_mode=S_IFDIR|0755, st_size=10, ...}) = 0", FWIW. Any clues? My gut instinct tells me to chase after that "Bus error" from /sbin/chkconfig. Thanks! [opensuse-buildservice] Mass import of packages from another OBS instance

Hi all, I'm setting up a private OBS instance to replace an existing instance which is several years old. There are only 5 or 6 projects, and I have manually created those in the new instance without much difficulty. But we have hundreds of packages, and I would like to import them en masse to the new instance -- preferably with full history intact. Are there existing tools to do that? Thanks! [opensuse-buildservice] How to remove users home project devel project link to multimedia:libs ffmpeg

Hi a user has made his project developed at multimedia:libs/ffmpeg this has broken ffmpeg build. I tried a blank changedevelrequest from web ui in his project but it failed although it claimed "New Devel project (leave free to delete the current one):" it didn't work. In the meantime I created request #460176 to change his devel project to his home project but this maybe needs somebody with admin privileges to intervene. Maybe this needs to be prevented in future because the user doesn't have maintainer rights in the package. [opensuse-buildservice] Problem with DoD Deb repository for ARM architecture

All, I'm trying to build debian packages for the ARM architecture and I believe I have missed some configuration setup that needs to be done. I have read everything I can find in the user manuals, online web pages etc. and I haven't been able to get things working. I can build debian repositories for the Intel architectures using a local OBS instance of a project leveraging the public OBS: <repository name="deb"> <download arch="x86_64" url="http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/jessie-updates/main" repotype="deb"/> <download arch="i586" url="http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/jessie-updates/main" repotype="deb"/> <path project="openSUSE.org:Debian:8.0" repository="standard"/> <arch>i586</arch> <arch>x86_64</arch> </repository> Since the Debian 8.0 project and repository doesn't provide the options to build aarch64, armv7l I thought the best approach was to create an identical project on my local OBS instance then work on the ARM build. I copied the project configuration and meta data from the openSUSE.org:Debian:8.0 without an issue. Then I triggered a rebuild of the package and the UI said the build was finished but the log contains. "404 remote error: remote error Not Found" I think there is more I need to do to configure the repository but I'm not sure how to do that. I'm thinking a similar change is needed for the arm portions and it's not clear how the architectures map to the Debian names. [opensuse-buildservice] Broken package signatures on ArchLinux

Good afternoon, I am using OBS in order to build and share some packages that requires a lot of build time and to host an Arch repository. I have a small issue; OBS is set up to sign repo packages and database files. While the database is signed properly, the packages are not. Everytime installing a package gives a small error message like this: ... (1/1) checking keys in keyring [-----------------------------------------------------] 100% error: telegram-desktop: unsupported signature format(0/1) checking package integrity [c o o(1/1) checking package integrity [-----------------------------------------------------] 100% (1/1) loading package files ... I would like to investigate about this issue.
