Repositories: Arch Community is really Arch Core!
This is a bug, I think.
If you check all
https://build.opensuse.org/project/add_repository_from_default_list/home:ri…
in:
Arch distributions
check Arch Core check Arch Extra check Arch Community
you only get *two* repositories: Arch and Arch_Extra. Arch_Community
is not there!
Can you fix it???

Hi
today I tried to create an own Ubuntu16.04 repo, which combines x86_64,
i586 and armv7l packages
Here's a pastebin of the project adn repo setup
https://pastebin.com/vARbesaV
The OBS now complains that the repository setup is broken.
I tried to adapt the setup of SUSE:SLE-15:GA
Error:
from the scheduler log
no build type (Ubuntu16-04_uib)
Any suggestion on what is broken in my setup?
Cheers

Hi folks!
We are happy to announce the first beta release of the upcoming Open
Build Service (OBS) version 2.9. There have been many changes since our
last major release. Highlights include the Studio Express features, an
improved workflow for producing appliance images in OBS. A message bus,
supported by RabbitMQ, to help you connect your own tools to what is
happening inside the OBS. And a much improved notifications system to
keep you up to date with OBS.
More information
----------------
For detailed information of the changes we made please have a look into
the 2.9 Release Notes:
https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/blob/2.9/ReleaseNotes-2.9
It is also recommended to read these before updating your OBS instance!
Try OBS 2.9 RC 1
--------------------
Those of you that don't want to install our release (yet) can have a
peek at https://build.opensuse.org, our reference server.
Install 2.9 RC 1
--------------------
Please read our setup instructions
https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/blob/2.9/README.md#installat…
or better yet, use our appliance
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/OBS:/Server:/2.9/images/
Update to 2.9 RC 1
----------------------
We do not recommend this for critical production instances but if you
already have a running OBS installation and want to update it to this
beta, please read also the README.UPDATERS
https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/blob/2.9/dist/README.UPDATERS
file about the necessary steps.
OBS Appliance users who have setup their LVM
http://openbuildservice.org/download/#appliance_config
can just replace their appliance image without data loss. The migration
will happen automatically.
OBS 2.9 Final
-------------
We look forward to release the final 2.9 version in the following weeks.
We hope you like this RC and look forward to your feedback, here on this
list, on IRC or by bug reports in GitHub.

Hi,
I'd like to try to compile syslog-ng on SLES 15. Is there any way to
enable SLES 15 support in OBS?
Bye,

Hi,
who provides bs_dodup the information on what to download from where?
After removing the CentOS5 DoD distribution from our internal obs (2.8), it still
tries to download from the location this DoD definition did contain as long as it existed.
I already restarted bs_dodup, didn't help.
Neither the webui, not osc ls not osc meta prj/prjconf is able to access this project anymore.
What else do we have to do?

What is 'osc build --no-service' supposed to do? If a _service file exists it will be processed.
I did "osc getbinaries --sources repo arch; unrpm binaries/*.src.rpm;osc build --no-service [args]", which installed various obs-service-* rpms just because _service happens to be configured for obs_scm. Only renaming _service helped. Setting "mode=disabled" does not help either.

Currently my SLE_12 repos in the xen prjs are in state "blocked", but the base prj is in state "published" since yesterday. I'm sure it will settle over the coming weekend. But I wonder why it takes so long for these other prjs to start build?
The base prj is done:
# osc pr -q -r SLE_12 -a x86_64 home:olh:xen-buildrequires
SLE_12 x86_64 (published)
All child prjs waiting for bison:
# osc pr -q -r SLE_12 -a x86_64 home:olh:xen-unstable
# osc pr -q -r SLE_12 -a x86_64 home:olh:xen-4.{2..10}
SLE_12 x86_64 (blocked)
bison is long done:
# osc buildhist -l 3 home:olh:xen-buildrequires bison SLE_12 x86_64
time srcmd5 vers-rel.bcnt rev duration
2017-12-01 11:59:48 ff5fd56c4d58210ca79c0a998c880b47 3.0.4-60.3 1 578
2018-02-21 08:02:47 ff5fd56c4d58210ca79c0a998c880b47 3.0.4-60.4 1 392

Not sure how to show at what time home:olh:xen-buildrequires reached state "published", which I think is the trigger for the other prjs to start building.

Hey all,
I've been spending a few hours trying to use preinstall images[1] to
speed up builds in OBS.
However, it seems like after defining a _preinstallimage file in a
package space in a project, nothing uses it anyway. I've even tried
copying official OBS preinstall images[2].
I'm using OBS 2.8 with chroot builds and it's not working. I can build
them just fine, but no package build uses them... I've also tested
with OBS 2.9 beta and it similarly does not work.
What am I missing? Is there a prjconf directive I need to use to use
them? An option to set for the obsworker service? Or something else?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Neal
