Wrong path to %{name}.lang in %files section when use tarball-less source service

Hello! I am try to follow a 'Avoid tar balls' section of OBS documentation at https://openbuildservice.org/help/manuals/obs-user-guide/cha.obs.best-pract… and got an error when processing a lang package files: "[ 555s] Processing files: mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch [ 555s] error: Could not open %files file /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch/mypackage.lang: No such file or directory" Extra leading directories are present in the path: /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/... I was looking for how %files -f works, but it looks like the basic rpm functionality, not a macro. Probably I can fix it by setting some variable manually before processing? My specfile looks like at guide: %if %{build_tar_ball} Source0: %{name}-%{version}.tar.bz2 %else Source0: _service %endif ... %prep %if %{build_tar_ball} %setup -q %else %setup -n %_sourcedir/%name-%version -T -D %endif _service: <services> <service name="obs_scm"> <param name="url">git://git.code.sf.net/p/mypackage/code</param> <param name="scm">git</param> <param name="versionformat">2.5+git%cd.%h</param> <param name="filename">mypackage</param> </service> <service mode="buildtime" name="set_version"/> </services> But when %define build_tar_ball 1 - the package build successful, %file -f path is correct. Looks like a bug... Or I am doing something wrong?

How to change my e-mail address for build.o.o

There are several threads asking this very same question. The latest I found was this one: https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/buildservice@lists.opensuse.org/th…. However I still do not find an answer to that question. What I tried: - Going to my profile on build.o.o and edit my profile: The e-mail address is not editable. - Change the user meta via `osc meta user -e letsfindaway`: Does not change anything. - Login to Micro Focus and try to edit my profile there: The e-mail address is not editable. So what is the way to change the e-mail address listed on my profile in build.o.o and used to send e-mail notifications? Thanks for any insights and pointers! Martin

[opensuse-buildservice] Add external source to a package?

Hello, I want to update the package ja2-stracciatella in the games repository to version 0.17.0. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:Kieltux:branches:games/ja2-str… The new version needs the library string_theory which is not available for openSUSE. The build process wants to download string_theory from github, because it is not found. Oracle Instant Client

Hi, I got notices for deletion requests against the oracle-instantclient packages in two OBS projects. This is a binary package from Oracle - there is no source, but it may be freely distributed: https://www.oracle.com/cz/database/technologies/faq-instant-client.html This package has been listed as blacklisted in OpenSUSE since 2010: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Build_Service_application_blacklist#Packag… However, in the meantime, Oracle changed their redistribution policy to allow free redistribution of this package in binary format. I was not involved in the discussions, but back in 2010 my colleague got the oracle-instantclient binary packages accepted into OBS; he told me at the time that an exception was made (IIRC - in any cases the packages have been there for a long time despite being on the blacklist). My question to anyone who can help - can this package get accepted into the NonFree project and removed from the blacklist? If not, I believe that forbidding the oracle-instantclient package from OBS and OpenSUSE will adversely impact professionals that work with Oracle DBs - particularly due to the domino effect on dependent packages. There is no legal reason for this restriction - just a philosophical one from my understanding. Ubuntu 22.04 build order issue when building in OBS

Hello, when I try to use Ubuntu 22.04 I always get [ 11s] [234/305] installing libssl-dev-3.0.2-0ubuntu1 [ 11s] [235/305] installing fontconfig-config-2.13.1-4.2ubuntu5 [ 11s] [236/305] installing libdebuginfod-common-0.186-1build1 [ 11s] /usr/bin/ucf: 352: getopt: not found [ 11s] dpkg: error processing package libdebuginfod-common (--install): [ 11s] installed libdebuginfod-common package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 127 [ 11s] Errors were encountered while processing: [ 11s] libdebuginfod-common It seems there is an installation conflict that getopt is required before util-linux is installed. Could this please be fixed? Also it seems Ubuntu 21.04 universe should be refreshed. I tries to download e.g. http://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/ubuntu/pool/universe/t/texlive-lang/texli… but this file doesn't exist on this server. P.S. I build with osc locally. Building RT-Kernel Module packages for Leap 15.4

Hello, I maintain the science:EtherLab project [1] and we are building packages containing kernel-modules for the EtherCAT master project [2] based on the distribution kernels (using %{kernel_module_package_buildreqs}, %{flavors_to_build} and friends). We have a problem with the openSUSE Leap 15.4 repository: The module ethercat-kmp-rt is built correctly, but for kernel 5.3.18 (the version from the main repo). On a freshly installed Leap 15.4 system there is a repository called "Update repository with updates from SUSE Linux Enterprise 15" [3], that comes with a newer kernel-rt (5.14.21), so if users update the system, they get a newer RT kernel, but no updated EtherCAT modules for the installed kernel. Which repository do I have to add to the OBS project? I tried - SUSE:SLE-15:Update/pool-leap-15.4 - SUSE:SLE-15:Update/standard without luck. Where do I find this information for future distributions? %ifarch fails to properly detect armv7l builds on OBS?

Good morning/evening/afternoon/night, I am currently trying to package python-libtmux, that has different errors in the %checks on different architectures. A lib ist not a lib

Hi! A package devel:languages:R:autoCRAN/R-mimi building locally is not build on OBS because: [ 40s] R-mimi.x86_64: E: explicit-lib-dependency R-bslib [ 40s] R-mimi.x86_64: E: explicit-lib-dependency R-jquerylib [ 40s] You must let rpm find the library dependencies by itself. Do not put unneeded [ 40s] explicit Requires: tags. But: R-bslib and R-jquerylib aren't ordinary libs. Both are just other R packages also build in autoCRAN. Is it possible to override this error or can this even be seen as a bug in OBS, because there is just "*lib" in the names, but no libs in the usual sense are in there?
