Hello, I want to update the package ja2-stracciatella in the games repository to version 0.17.0. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:Kieltux:branches:games/ja2-str… The new version needs the library string_theory which is not available for openSUSE. The build process wants to download string_theory from github, because it is not found. Implementing a new APT publisher

Hi, We currently use OBS for building and publishing APT packages for the Apertis project[1] (a Debian derivative distribution). At the moment we use downstream patches for the publisher (src/backend/bs_publish) in order to use reprepro instead of dpkg-scanpackages/dpkg-scansources. As we're considering implementing a new APT publisher based on aptly[2], we'd like to do so in a way that can be upstreamed to OBS so it can benefit the whole community. This obviously raises several questions as to how we should proceed, so I'm sending this email as a call for advice/comments/suggestions. We're considering the following: - this new publisher would be implemented in addition to the existing dpkg-scan* based one and be selectable through global configuration options. - using aptly opens up possibilities, but it isn't always as straightforward as a few system() call; we would therefore need to either ship a helper tool or add a new BSPublisher submodule (the latter is the preferred option atm) - aptly can also be used through a REST API, which implies some asynchronous processing would be preferrable. Is there currently a way to handle async processing in OBS, or would that require another helper tool/module, if possible at all? package build stuck on blocked (AlmaLinux 8)

Hey, I'm trying to build a package with AlmaLinux 8 and it seems to be stuck waiting to download 12 packages. See here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:Pharaoh_Atem:alma-nginx-module… It seems weird that it's stuck like that for so long on that... Can someone look and see what's going wrong? * -Current.iso image are linked incorrectly - Leap 15.(3|4)

Hello everyone, I noticed that the links in the * -Current.iso files on download.opensuse.org for Leap 15.3 and 15.4 are not correct. Example: When I download the image https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.3/iso/openSUSE-Leap-15.3…, it is saved as openSUSE-Leap-15.3-DVD-x86_64 -Current.iso. The associated openSUSE-Leap-15.3-DVD-x86_64-Current.iso.sha256 assumes a file name of openSUSE-Leap-15.3-2-DVD-x86_64-Build24.5-Media.iso. Shouldn't the openSUSE-Leap-15.3-DVD-x86_64-Current.iso be linked to openSUSE-Leap-15.3-2-DVD-x86_64-Build24.5-Media.iso? Greeting Kasimir

Creating unofficial packages for the Darling compatibility layer

Hi there, I'm thinking of using OpenSUSE build service for building and hosting unofficial packages for darlinghq.org. However, these builds take a few hours, and can temporarily use up to 15GB disk space. I couldn't find anything on the wiki about service use limitations, so I wanted to check if this is okay before I do it, and not going to get me banned or something. Thanks, Hamish

Creating a obs service to extract the licenses of the packages inside a container

Hi list, I wanted to write an obs-service, that would parse the $pkgname.packages file and set the `org.opencontainers.image.licenses` label of the created container. Unfortunately I have a chicken-or-egg problem here: the .packages file is created once the build is finished, but I'd like to modify the Dockerfile or kiwi.xml before the build starts so that I don't have to mess with the created container image itself. I have thought about not using the .packages file and instead to grab the licenses from the rpms from current build root, but that doesn't work either, because this contains all the build time dependencies and not just the packages inside the container. Does anyone know how I could get the licenses of the packages inside the container before the build is started? Or maybe how I could simply modify the label of an existing container, without restarting the build? Adding EPEL Modular repository

Hello, currently, https://build.opensuse.org/repositories/Fedora:EPEL:8 only contains /epel/8/Everything from the mirrors. Can you please also add /epel/8/Modular ? This would give a couple more useful packages under the EPEL brand like cobbler. Thank you and best wishes, Stefan

Can we fix ppc64le to Debian:11?

Seems it's added, at least at the meta configuration, but not working for whatever reason. The URL at: <download arch="ppc64le" url="http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/bullseye/ main" repotype="deb"> Returns a 404, so it could explain it. I guess all other ppc64le need to be fixed as well.
