Using: Tumbleweed up to date with KDE. Using at login a wayland selection is not persistend after reboot. How and where can I configure this selection in a permanent way. ??? Thanks, Hans

Wrong download link on website!

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right list. But maybe someone knows what to do... I'm installing Leap15.3 right now, but the download link on www.opensuse.org is broken. I just checked for the Network image. The download link points to https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.3/iso/openSUSE-Leap-15.3… but all I could find was this on a mirror (I just checked this one): https://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/leap/15.3/iso/openSUSE-Leap-1… It seems to work fine, but a broken link on the download page is a bit embarassing. ConvertAll

ConvertAll is a very handy unit converter which will turn mm to inches, light years to miles. and just about anything in between. Zypper can't find it. I have downloaded a .tar.gz file. I have unzipped the tar.gz. file, but zypper can't seem to deal with that either. What must I do to install it? --doug

Verifying new Tumbleweed repository package signing keys

Hello, yesterday zypper complained about new package signing keys for: [http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tumbleweed/standard/](h… However, I could not find a place to verify that the key shown to me (and which I guess should have corresponded to one of gpg-pubkey-3dbdc284-53674dd4.asc gpg-pubkey-39db7c82-5f68629b.asc gpg-pubkey-307e3d54-5aaa90a5.asc found in the repository) was legit. Are there announcements about key rotations? Is there a secondary source where the signing keys are published other than the repo itself which is asking me about accepting its own new keys? What do "307e3d54" and "5aaa90a5" in gpg-pubkey-307e3d54-5aaa90a5.asc mean, as it does not seem to be related to the key fingerprint ? The fact that half of my repos were added with HTTP by default (1-click-installs etc) and that I could not readily verify if new keys are legit defeats a lot of the purpose of having signed packages. Since some days I get errors like this (sorry to be in my language but I'm sure you understand the issue). When it happens I delete the specific repository or disable then execute the zypper ref again. - Errore di download (curl) per 'https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Education/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/re…': Codice di errore: Curl error 16 Messaggio di errore: - Can't provide /repodata/repomd.xml Is it a known problem at opensuse? how many files should /var/adm/backup/rpmdb have in it?

Right now I have 5 files of more than 60000K each. Maybe the better question would be: when do older copies of Packages*.gz serve no purpose? Is there any point to keeping copies that are more than a year old? 6 months? 3 months? More than 1-2 copies regardless of age?
