sftp broken in konqueror

I installed Leap 15.5 today. I have several computers and communicate/transfer files between them using sftp in konqueror. I have submitted a bug report but I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and found a workaround or simple solution. My current workaround is to install the 15.4 files for konqueror and dolphin.

what does it mean when the openSUSE-release-ftp and kernel package appear agaon today?

Support, what does it mean when the openSUSE-release-ftp and kernel package appear agaon today? some leap 15.6 machine was already up to date last week and had all these packages but today or so zypper lu shows these packages appearing again kind of a rerelease or so? what does this mean? is this some post-final fixing or rerelease or reissuing ot syncing to the suse linux enterprise service pack level 6 or something happening? think that the -ftp package came in last week even multiple times and today again and even the kernel. the changelog of these packages dont show current date stuff that would hint anything trying to make sense of how opensuse release and packages and stuff works. ty

VT prompt litter on fresh 15.6 installation

Please tell me how to stop VTs from spewing SSH host keys prior to login prompt. I've seen this happen before, but have no recollection what causes it. There is nothing I see in /usr/lib/issue.d/ that I recognize as suggesting it. /etc/issue.d/10-openSUSE.conf contains "Welcome to \S - Kernel \r (\l)", but what doc explains? Similar like webmin or so? I can only log into cockpit with a local normal user using for KDE desktop as well. Inside cockpit it tells me that it is restricted mode or something and some root stuff is missing coming up with a popup when I click that blue topmost notification or button with text given: "turn on administrative access". the result is that stated error message popup. Anyone running this successfully? ty

Glitches on desktop

Hi, Since the change to Plasma6 there are still some glitches on my TW-system. One of them is that, if I go to the Properties of an program icon in the desktop folder, and close the window, the icon disappears from the desktop folder. This happens also if I don't change anything: just opening the Properties window and closing it is enough. All return if I log out and log in again. Another thing is that I don't see a way of moving the desktop folder around the screen: I can't find a handle of any type for it. Not a disaster, but yet annoying... Anyone an idea to correct this behavior? regards, Jogchum

1-issue-generator not generating; 2-last login absent

I have multiple installations where I removed issue-generator for some period until I decided to reverse my attitude about it. The main idea was, and remains, I don't want to see IP addresses onscreen with VT logins. Now I have some installations where even though it has been reinstalled, login prompts on VTs are simply hostname login: on an otherwise blank screen until such time as I systemctl start issue-generator.service Also on all these installations, logging in fails to report date last logged in. haveged often with updated files pending immediately after a reboot - zypper ps

Support, on a current leap, maybe even observed on 15.6, after a fresh reboot of the leap machine, zypper ps , shows that haveged is apparently pending with new files or updated stuff, similarly when updates and patches arrive via zypper, and zypper ps lists then quite a lot of processes or services that can approve of a restart of their stuff. [1] now i wonder, why does a haveged service has pending or updates files right after a normal reboot. how come? ty. Strange behavior to login in Tumbleweed

When trying to login om tty1 I get the prompt and enter root, but instead of getting asked for the password, I get "Login incorrect". When loging in using sddm on tty2, the session starts on tty3 and after ending the session and logging in again even on tty4. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
