TV out ripping

Hello. I need an advice about of a process of ripping tv-out stream. I try several programm with some results. kWinTV - catch video but can not catch audio stream; kdetv - tell a message "VIDEOCMCAPTURE failed@; xawtv - catch slow video stream without audio. Kino - catch flicked stream. Tell me, please, what kind of program used peoles for ripping video cassetes or TV stream? My system is SuSE 9.0Pro. Regards, Yuriy.

Terratec Cinergy 400TV mobility, installation

Hi My system is SUSE9.2 on a notebook. TV card is from Terratec, Cinergy TV 400 mobility. In modprobe.conf.local I added the following line options saa7134 card=8 kdetv does not find any channels - why? TV out on a Voodoo3

I,m struggling to get the TVout on my Voodoo3 graphics card to work. This is installed in a box that I hope to use for MythTV Has anyone had success with this card and could you tell me how or is there a better card that I should be looking for.

I think you are correct that there is some relation to the mcop directory. It turns out, after a call to the SuSE help line, that the solution is to remove the /tmp/mcop-root directory. Hi, is this card Hauppauge WinTV PCI with FM (Conexant Fusion 878A) MODEL 00157 supported out of the box on SuSE 9.1 and 9.2? And I have notebook IBM ThinkPad X30, wich has old USB 1.1 (no USB 2.0 support). Will Hauppauge WinTV USB 1.1 MODEL 00057 work? Can I set up this with Yast? Thanks. -- AV SuSE 9.1 Pro RLU #128180

[suse-multimedia-e] Bink video on 9.1

Hi folks, I recently downloaded some videos, which are in the Bink video windows exe format. I tried to play the files in mplayer, but obviously it didn't play. Then i tried to play the files with wine. It worked, the only problem being, that there was no sound. Any suggestions? USB device problem

Hello, I`ve been trying to talk to a USB prototyp device using SUSE 9.0 and the JSR80 package (javax.usb), that is by a Java programm. (It will be first hotplugged.) My program won`t work always correct, "tail -f /var/log/messages" delivers in case of an error such messages: ... Dec 7 13:40:27 linux kernel: usbdevfs: usb_submit_urb returned -6 Dec 7 13:40:27 linux kernel: usb-uhci.c: ENXIO c0009a80, flags 0, urb cdb0bf00, burb cdb0b880 ... During searching the Web I found http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-multimedia/2003-Jun/0068.html (in German). It`s about mounting a digital camera with the similar error message. The advice on the page is waiting for a new kernel version as a bug in it will cause the problem. What do you think? Which SUSE version will has the bug corrected? Thank you-----------Szabolcs

Where is streamtuner? ( Streemtuner ) It wasn't in Gnome this time. at least a search on the install DVD didn't find it??? And I did try both spellings -- j nemo me impune lacessit quis custodiet ipsos custodiates?'
