Hi When I'm running windows xp I use a really great program called "ACD Systems ACDSee" for viewing photos and video clips, it works really great. Now running Suse I have not found a program that is as good. I'm running GNOME and in that I have not found any good program, but under KDE there is a program called "Gwenview" that I use, but as I have noticed it is not so good to run programs from KDE when I am logged in with GNOME cause for ex deleted files never drops down in the trash but still takes up the space on my disk and I have to manually delete them from the .local dir in my home folder. And then there is still the problem that Gwenview does not do the job that ACDSee does. Is there a great image program for suse? Regards /Per

Is there any player that supports that on suse 10.0 GNOME? And are there some program that are able to convert wma to mp3? /Per

IO conflict

I'm at wits end. I've posted on LinuxQuestions and still have not fixed the problem. I have updated to SuSE 10.0 OSS from SuSE 9.3. All was working until the update. My SBLive Value no longer works. Below is the dmesg output. YaST refuses to install the soundcard. I run modprobe snd-emu10k1 and I just get a prompt. I'm told that the module is working as it should be then. As I have no idea of what to do, or how to handle modprobe, please give me step-by-step instructions. Should you need further information, please don't hesitate to ask. DVD playing problems

Hi friends, I am having the following problems while playing the DVDs, I am using suse 10 on my laptop with ATI 340M GPU, with 3d acceleration enabled by using ATI Drivers, Now the problem is , the dvd movie is not clear and crisp as it is played in my windows machine, it is blurry at edges and when there is motion in picture ther is a sort of blurr, recently i was playing mp3 songs in my xmms and started A dvd movie.. after playing the intro ads etc, it came to the menu screen, and poped a error message saying that the sound device is busy, its being used by another application, then i close xmms and tried playing, it gave the same message, I rebooted the machine, and the same error message is being given from then.
