Has anyone had any luck getting the game Terminus running in SuSE 8.2,
if so, what is the trick?
I have tired a number things and the only thing I figure it might be is
the libc version (the game - abliet an older one - suggests it would run
fine with libc 1.2 or greater) or our old friend mesa (ie. the game
requires a newer version than what is there).
I've checked the groups.google.com (lists) and a number of other avenues
without luck.
I have game installed in a typical location: /usr/local/games where I
have run others from successfully.
when I start Terminus, I run it as
user$ terminus
user$ terminus +gfx_renderer "opengl"
and it simply fails to start, asks for another disk and fails, seg
faults etc. At any rate, I have yet to get past the game intro.
any advice would be appreciated. Also I have found the information on
the terminus.cnf file sketchy. I don't have one and don't know wherther
to import one form somewhere, create one from scratch, etc. But I don't
have on to start with.

Hi,
I was wondering if the Logitech Quickcam Express will work with Suse 8.1 & 8.2. If any one has managed to get it working please let me know. As I had to sell my Quickcam Pro 4000, as I could not get it working, and then I read somewhere that Suse had ready builed in drivers for the Logitech Quickcam Express. Is that true?
Regards,
Ricardo

Hi there,
I've just bought a DSL-Router. The only Problem I have is:
How can I deinstal the the (A-)DSL-Configuration; for I now want to use eth1 as a 'normal' ethernet interface.
I did not work out, what to do, to uninstall it.... mhhhh....
Any suggestions?

Hi, I am traying to modified and play some midi music
in my linux box,
I have seen JAZZ may be a great option to do this so I
decided to install
it and use it, I have been able to modified the midi
files but I cant
play the files. I have to use Kmid from kde to play
them.
I have installed SuSE Linux 7.1 ,Kernel 2.2.18
Alsa drivers (modules) ENS1371 ->
Sound Blaster PCI 128
and the computer is: AMD K7 850 mhz, 128 MB RAM
JAZZ version: JAZZ++ version 4.1.7
Executing JAZZ
When I look in the track window menu
in Settings/Midi Device: the input device is:
External MIDI 0 MIDI 0-0
the output devive is:
External MIDI 0 MIDI 0-0
I think in the output device there should be another
option like
sound card midi.
here is a layout of lsmod :

I have a dvd drive on hdc and a cdrecorder on hdd. The cdrecorder has an
audio connection to my soundcard. I am trying to configure kscd to use the
cdrecorder as the audio device. However, every time I close and restart kscd
all configuration setting have gone and it is back to its default setting and
I have to reconfigure it. Is there a way in which I can get kscd to store
the configuration?
Previously, I've edited the ~/.kde/share/config/kscdrc but this file seems to
have minimal data e.g.
[KFileDialog Settings]
Automatic Preview=true
Preview Size=60
ShowPreviews=false
ViewMode=SmallColumns
and I don't remember the options or their format. Would be grateful for any
pointers.
Thanks
Eddie
