Hey Group;
Kmix on 11.2 has a pain in the neck problem. After it is playing
correctly. Sjut down the system (X and reboot) then back into X and
kmix has defaulted to Mute. This may be caused by a setting.
So, if someone could see the problem please mention it.

Hey Group;
Anyone think of a reason SuSE's Amarok will show that it is playing a
stream from "www.sky.fm" is playing but KDE 4.3 (I believe) plays no
audio? It will play audio on my local mp3s but out of 4 days worth it
will only spot 40 file.mp3.
This missing audio has been checked using kmix

First time on this list!
I have a question about Amarok 2 and KDE4.# in openSuSE 11.2. It was playing
along just fine one day and then quit. since then NO sound. I have a large
group of mp3s that have woorked for a long time in a directory
/usr/share/Music/. Amarok is very knowledgeable about the Music directory.
Almost all of them are selectable in the play list. I don't think this is a
amarok problem but more of a KDE problem.
In the passed permissions on /dev/dsp and mixer needed to be set to 666 and the
user added to /etc/groups/audio. All of this was done but no sound. "strace
-o" showed dbus as a possible problem source.
Please note that all related things have been rpm -e and then yast2 reinstalled,
SuSEconfig and ldconfig were run. Still no sound.
Anyone have an idea?

Hi all:
Just completed a new install using OpenSuse Kde 4 reloaded Livecd x86-64 4.2.2
Build 12.5. The file had the correct md5 sum and the cd was verified. I
believe I have correctly installed all the required repositories and codecs. I
can not view youtube/flash, wmv. On the audio side mp3 does not work. Can
someone help get everything working.
