I've been using Polari since it was released a while back and still use it. I think we should replace Xchat with Polari as default. It's prettier, simpler, and more in line with the GNOME design philosophy. [opensuse-gnome] Gnome-music as the default music player instead of rhythmbox

Hi! We plan to replace rhythmbox from the default GNOME pattern (meaning it goes from the LiveCD and default GNOME installation from the DVD) by gnome-music. The latter is a core GNOME3 application now, it works well and fits in better within the GNOME3 desktop (granted, this is a subjective claim) and there is little benefit of having two music players + totem (which can also play all music files) in the default GNOME set up. Rhythmbox will still remain in the default oss repository for anyone who is dissatisfied with gnome-music and wishes to use rhythmbox instead. Gnome-music will also replace rhythmbox in the favourite-applications bar. If there is strong objection to this change, please let us know now. [opensuse-gnome] disable packagekit auto-download

There used to be a knob to disable automatic download of available updates. GNOME in Factory has appearently lost that knob. SLE12 has it in a prominent place. The help button of gpk-prefs still shows the pulldown menus which are not there anymore. So, how do I disable checking for updates and all that in Factory? [opensuse-gnome] 13.1 - Patch openSUSE-2014-532 conflicts with Gnome:Stable:3.12 ?

Hi, I'm using Gnome:Stable:3.12 on my 13.1 box. I noticed a weird behaviour with patch openSUSE-2014-532 ( GNOME Stack update to version 3.10.3/4 ). I see lots of updates in my Gnome-3.12 repo, but trying a zypper dup starts reverting stuff to be from the main repo, which I don't want. I've manually updated everything that is possible to update from the Gnome-3.12 repo, so that only updates from the main 13.1 repo are available, but that still did nothing. I'll paste my system config/available updates at the end of the main, any hints are more than welcome. Hi there geekos with a sole :D As you are probably aware, the beta release is on its was, so we're working on a nice and handy-dandy release announcement. What I would need, if any of you could spare the time, is to just break a few points on what's new in gnome for this new release. Hello guys, I would like to make a screencast using shortcuts Alt+Ctrl+Shift+R but when I press them, I get the red dot at the right top corner but when I press them again, I don't get a file. Do you know what's wrong? If you want something from my computer (log or something), please tell me how to provide it. I use 13.1 with GNOME 3.10 (didn't upgrade it on this computer). [opensuse-gnome] Scattered folders in Nautilus

I'm having problems with the nautilus and file dialog displays. The sidebar is cluttered with folders from the main window. It's been this wy since I got this computer several weeks ago, an ASUS M51BC, 32GB RAM, AMD FX-8300, Radeon R9 270 2GB. Have you seen this before? Appreciate any help.
