[opensuse-gnome] 2.19 Plan

We need a plan to cover GNOME 2.19 now that its being released. Normally I would say move 2.18.1 to G:S and keep updating it there, but in this case we have the /opt/gnome -> /usr move to deal with, we'd break anyone on 10.2 and older for sure. Just an FYI for you all: I'll be uploading pidgin to GNOME:Community very soon, just beating the old gaim-unstable.spec to do what's required. I'm splitting it, as per the project's guidelines and nomenclature, into libpurple[-devel], pidgin[-devel] and finch[-devel]. I'm deviating from their default by not splitting all the libpurple plugins into separate subpackages though - that's overkill IMHO. [opensuse-gnome] SLAB menu enhancement

I was thinking that SLAB menu would be more useful by adding the possibility of customize it. Maybe letting the user change the groups of the application browser, or drag applications to other group, etc. Also theres no "Run command" anymore. What about adding a text box so you can run a command by typing on it. Nowadays this menu it's not really comfortable to use. Any chance? [opensuse-gnome] removing meinproc calls from GNOME packages

Hallo. After a longer research, it seems that calling meinproc in GNOME packages is no longer needed and that KDE can render GNOME documentation correctly even without it, because it has its own ghelp ioslave. Hallo. Here is several packages, which may be interesting for us: GNOME Keyring Cryptoki Support http://live.gnome.org/GnomeKeyring/Cryptoki It allows to use PKCS#11 Smart Card for GNOME Keyring. Nautilus Image Converter http://www.bitron.ch/software/nautilus-image-converter.php Adds resize menu to images in Nautilus. It would be nice to enhance this package and provide whole ImageMagick menu. [opensuse-gnome] Problems with evolution + exchange - Suse 10.1

Hi, I had problems in the past with this combination (Exchange 2003, AFAIK). Then, after some update it started to work again and now it doesn't work anymore. The symptom is that it crashes on startup (multiple times consecutively), and finally stays open, but mails are not correctly downloaded. It hangs at "Nach neuen E-Mails sehen (zu 100% abgeschlossen)". It seems similar to this bug: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=179381 What can I do about this? The same issues that mean you need to use a third party build of AmaroK apply to Banshee. Now, what you can do, since you're using PackMan anyway is use their gstreamer010-* packages and the Banshee packages from the Build Service (either the Banshee project or GNOME:Community) and you should be good to go. > Third, beagle integration and SLAB are very bad.
