[opensuse-buildservice] repackaging mpich for ubuntu

Hello, I am trying to (re-)package mpich for ubuntu using the same sources the ubuntu universe offers: http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/libmpich1.0-dev but get the following error on ubuntu 8.04: du: cannot read directory `./usr/lib/mpich/man/mpiman.help': Not a directory and on 8.10: cc -I. -I/usr/src/packages/BUILD/mpid/mpd -fPIC -c /usr/src/packages/BUILD/mpid/mpd/sockets.c /usr/src/packages/BUILD/mpid/mpd/sockets.c: In function 'network_connect': /usr/src/packages/BUILD/mpid/mpd/sockets.c:93: error: 'struct hostent' has no member named 'h_addr' I know that this looks like misconfiguration but I wonder why this works for the ubuntu universe repository. Hi all I'm trying to understand how to create a debian java package in the Opensuse Build Service. I cannot find informations: http://en.opensuse.org/Java/Packaging/Overview http://news.opensuse.org/2008/04/30/java-development-updates-for-opensuse/ I saw http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service/Deb_builds page; it says I should use debian.control etc files, but https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=server%3AOX%3Asnapshot does not use anything of them - and compile in xubuntu. [opensuse-buildservice] Some errors and mistakes.

Good day! Yesterday I sent some messages on IRC talking about an error on "rake db:migrate" on 1.5rc1 packages. Solved that with some changes on "043_add_archs.rb" and "013_add_archs.rb" files under "/srv/www/obs/frontend/db/migrate/". Did someone of the admins saw the messages? It's not possible to "rake db:migrate" of webclient too, but I didn't tried to figure It out. The next point is the step 4.1 in "/usr/share/doc/packages/obs-api/README.SETUP". Followed the instructions to add openSUSE:11.1 project hosted at the openSuSE BuildService but It failed with the folllowing message: "Errorcode: 404 Message: repoid 'openSUSE.org:openSUSE:11.1' is illegal" Looking inside "openSUSE.org.xml" file there is a reference to "https://api.opensuse.org/public" which seems doesn't exist. Am I missing some step? There's a lot of bugs to call it an RC, isn't?
