Is build04 broken? I see several failed builds in project "net-snmp" and
all of them are on build04 with the last message being either
perl -e syscall(135, 0); exec(@ARGV) || die("$ARGV[0]: $!\n") xm create
-c /var/run/bsworker_7/build/xen.conf name=build:root_7 memory=1700
disk=file:/abuild/root_7/root,hda1,w
disk=file:/abuild/root_7/swap,hda2,w extra=init=/.build/build panic=1
console=ttyS0
or (most of the time) simply
build on build04/7 did not create a logfile
Could someone please have a close look at build04?
+Thomas

Hi,
followed README.SETUP and found some mistakes, as I see.
I should configure MySQL user and password in 'production' section. And
later I should populate the database with
# RAILS_ENV="production_slave" rake db:migrate
which will not work. So I think "production_slave:" section is meant.
password is opensuse and not openSUSE
updaters, should also do a
# RAILS_ENV="production_slave" rake db:migrate
and not only
rake db:migrate, because they have changed their database from
development to production, haven't they ?
patch attached
Kind Regards
Chris

I'm completely new to the SuSE build service. Apologies for what is
surely a newbie question.
First of all, I'm trying to do everything through the web interface,
partly to help test it out and partly because I'm lazy :-)
So I create my first package (voiceglue, under home:archie172) and the
build fails because a couple of depdencies are not part of standard
SuSE (js-devel and perl-ExtUtils-CBuilder).
So I think that the answer here is to create a "link" from another
project (I read about _link vs. _aggregate but notice that this choice
is not available via the web GUI so I don't worry about it).
I do a search for "js-devel" and find it listed under "OSSP/openSUSE_10.3".
So I try to create a link to my home project from original
project="OSSP" and original package="js-devel".
Result: Unable to find package 'js-devel' in project 'OSSP'.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
-Archie

Ooops, this time I really send it to the list instead of PM. Bad style, Sorry :-(
But everything with "[opensuse-buildservice]" in subject is automatically
send to the list in my configuration, when I do not change it manually.
Yes, that was the idea :-)
Maybe such a "setup package maintainer according to commit log" script
would be helpful for other projects as well? I think the policy to have
a few project maintainers and special package maintainers is a good one.
Probably it could be an osc option/command?

Hi there,
dunno if this is the right mailing list for this issue. There are
updated packages (-2.4.0.3.6) available in the i586 and x86_64
directories of the OpenOffice.org:STABLE repository for openSUSE
10.2, but the packages in the "noarch" directory still require
the older versions; e.g:
$ rpm -qp noarch/OpenOffice_org-de-2.4.0.3.5-6.1.noarch.rpm -R
OpenOffice_org = 2.4.0.3.5
Does anybody know, if a rebuild of those packages has been issued
already? FWIW, this doesn't apply to SLE_10 or openSUSE 10.3.
TIA, cheers.

Hello folks!
Right now we have 12 repositories in games: namespace. They are
games:action
games:adventure
games:arcade
games:board
games:libs
games:liflg
games:puzzle
games:roleplay
games:strategy:realtime
games:strategy:turn-based
games:tools
games:WorldForge
I propose to merge action, adventure, arcade, board, puzzle, roleplay
and strategy:* projects into one project called games. WorldForge,
tools, liflg seem to be some private projects and they will stay
untouched. I'd also like to keep games:libs project separate, because it
is used primarily to backport new versions of libraries that games use
to older releases of openSUSE (and thus needn't to be present in new
installations for example). This merge has another advantage. Some of
the games are misplaced (arcade games in action games and vice versa),
so gamers which install lots of games do not have to investigate in
which repository their favorite game is (and they don't have to install
7 repositories also!). Any comments or ideas (or probably explanation
why so punctual separation was used)?

This is a bug report on the web frontend to the build service. I hope
this is the right place to report such bugs, if not please point me in
the right direction.
I attempted to upload a tar.gz file for a package indirectly by
entering the URL directly in the web page and got the error below.
Uploading it directly (using HTTP file upload) did work however.
Thanks,
-Archie
