The printer yast module if often the target of bufreports, and in fact it's not always as good as most of us will like. This bugreport hold a complete explanation of the way the YaST module works: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=699205 I think it should be important to have some manpower devoted to test printers. With the release of openSUSE 12.1 MS1, it is time to start testing. The Testing Core Team will have an IRC meeting at 17:00 UTC, June 6 on our usual channel. Actually, yes, I *have* been parked on the web site waiting for it to show up! ;-) I figured there'd be an announcment, but anyway, I've got the Gnome LiveCD downloaded and I'm building a VirtualBox guest at the moment. So far everything looks reasonable. GNOME 3 comes up in fallback mode, of course, and I couldn't find a menu item for the installer.
