[opensuse-support] Latest snapshot 20180613 does not show up after zypper dup

On one machine I am presented with an update from 2135 packages. On the other machine it is only 105 packages without mentioning that it is the snapshot update from 20180606 -> 20180613. Whatever I try I get the message that most packages are up to date and only some packages from KDE Extra and Packman need an update. This is after zypper dup but I get the same result after zypper clean && zypper ref && zypper dup. It shows only 105 packages to update without mentioning the snapshot update. 20180613, but was happening prior to today's upgrade from 20180410. Same PC has had two TW installations for more than two years. This happens only one one of them. Host 'lanserver' is running 42.3. This NFS mounting that works on one but not the other is "normally" occurring by running an alias from ~/.bashrc that is much too old to remember, and also refers to several fstab entries. # showmount -e lanserver /public 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 # mount -t nfs lanserver:/public /mnt/ls/public mount.nfs: No such device # mount -t nfs 192.168.#.#:/public /mnt/ls/public mount.nfs: No such device No messages regarding nfs show up in journalctl or dmesg. Hi *, running zypper dup to get the latest Tumbleweed snapshot I get: Warning: Digest verification failed for file 'ghc-base-4.11.1.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm' [/var/cache/zypp/packages/Haupt_Repository_OSS__Tumbleweed/x86_64/ghc-base-4.11.1.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm] expected 51a118143d31e24600907387eb24626c372a0dcc3851caea4d1102ef0311a1a5 but got 7a58d240a74d8f899d4feed23b26661a45b4b79f7aaa77c0d685abdf1d544c49 Accepting packages with wrong checksums can lead to a corrupted system and in extreme cases even to a system compromise. However if you made certain that the file with checksum '7a58..' is secure, correct and should be used within this operation, enter the first 4 characters of the checksum to unblock using this file on your own risk. Empty input will discard the file. This didn't solve in the last 12 hours. Is there a mirror with defect packages or is it a more generell problem? TIA. Bye. TW : zypper dup : am getting warnings : "Unblock or discard? [d666/...? shows all options] (discard): Package ghc-array-0.5.2.0-1.1.x86_64 (Main Repository (OSS)) seems to be corrupted during transfer. [opensuse-support] my internet connection is lost

On my second computer which is in use by my wife I have done a complete new installation with a similar setup as my computer. Everything went fine for the first day but suddenly the computer lost its internet connection. I have used Parted Magic and found that it found and used my internet connection so I know that the internet connection works For something which always worked for me in the time I am using Suse (version 6) the only thing to do was entering Yast an go to Network settings Network is installed. What should I do to get the network connection working? I thought TW didn't distribute updates through the update channel. I am seeing libQt5Location5, libQt5Positioning5, libQt5PositioningQuick5 updates in the update channel today. Isn't this a bit unusual?? Wayne

For one of my computers after a electrical fallout I had to reinstall the Tumbleweed. I normally use the Net installment but this time I was not successful. Forgot the reason the program gave me. The last snapshot I had on a DVD was the 20180301 edition. In the past I had only good results with installation from an somewhat older version with a zypper dup update in order to get the latest. This time around I got following message: The following product is going to be downgraded: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20180606-0 ->20180301-0 x86_64 openSUSE-2180301-0 openSUSE The following package is going to change architecture: yast-storage-ng 4.0.183-1.1 ->4.0.110-1.1 x86_64 -> noarch openSUSE-20180301-) openSUSE 1469 packages to downgrade, 119 new, 1 to change arch. I was looking for an upgrade, not a big downgrade.
