WLAN. Centrino (ipw2100) und kein Auffinden des Accesspoints

Liebe Liste, die Probleme mit WLANs ist man hier ja schon gewöhnt, wie ich beim Durchstöbern der Liste gesehen habe. Trotzdem habe ich leider keinen Thread gefunden, der auf mein folgendes Problem eine Lösung bietet. An meinem Laptop (Acer 662 LCi) ist ein Centrino-Modul (Intel PRO/Wireless 2100) installiert, das unter SuSE 9.1 mit YaST auch korrekt erkannt wird. (Nach Online-Update der Treiber) Die Ethernetkarte (eth0) funktioniert tadellos. Ich habe das Ganze an zwo verschiedenen Accesspoints ausprobiert (DLink 714P+ und ein Noname-Gerät von "Sitecom") und es hat auch schon manchmal funktioniert. Bisher beschränken sich meine Versuche auf unverschlüsselte Verbindungen. Meistens aber findet mein System den WLAN-Accesspoint nicht und kann daher keine Verbindung aufbauen. Und das, obwohl das Boot-Log mir sagt, dass die Netzwerkkarte eine IP über DHCP bekommen habe: --Auszug aus boot.msg-- eth1 device: Intel Corp. Das funktioniert aber derzeit auch nicht. Leider kann ich die genauen Bedingungen nicht reproduzieren für die Fälle, in denen das WLAN gelaufen ist. Nur in einem bin ich mir sicher: Es war nicht abhängig davon, ob ich mit angestecktem Netzwerkkabel gebootet habe oder kein Netzwerkkabel angesteckt war an eth0. Das einzige was ich an der Konfiguration verändert habe, war, den Profile-Manager unter YaST einzuschalten. Doch m.W. ändert der ja auch nur die config-files und nicht die Treiber. Außerdem war auch vorher das Problem schon da. Und eine andere Geschichte, womöglich gibts ja einen Zusammenhang: Manchmal bekomme ich, wenn ich boote, auch die Meldung "Setting up service network . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .failed" Und zwar nur, aber _nicht immer_ dann, wenn ich kein Netzwerkkabel fest angestöpselt habe... Was ich außerdem -erfolglos- versucht habe: rcnetwork restart iwconfig mit allen möglichen manuellen Eingaben der Parameter, z.B. der ESSID, und des Channels. Was ich noch nicht ausprobiert habe, ist die manuelle Eingabe des Accesspoints. Könnte das was helfen? In welchem Format wird er eingegeben? Oder habt ihr sonst noch Tipps? Suspend to disk nach Treiberinstallation

Hallo, Ich habe auf meinem Amilo 1425 mit Suse Pro 9.2 den ATI Treiber (fglrx_6_8_0) installiert. Funktioniert auch ganz prima, aber wenn ich nach einem suspend to disk wieder hochfahre, erscheinen am Ende nur ein paar bunte Streifen auf dem Bildschirm, statt dem Desktop. Was kann ich tun um rauszufinden, was falsch läuft, bzw. kann mir schon jemand sagen, was los ist? Danke im Voraus Norbert

ipw2200 und Suse 9.2

HI! Seit ich Suse 9.2 auf meinem Asus Notebook habe, funktioniert der ipw2200-Treiber nicht mehr richtig. Bei hohen Transferraten (kopieren über NFS) bekomme ich mit älteren Versionen (z.B. die bei 9.2 mitgelieferte) DMA-Errors und mit neueren Firmware-Errors (natürlich passende neuere Firmware installiert). Diese Probleme hatte ich unter Suse 9.1 nicht, erst seit ich Update auf 9.2 gemacht hatte. Jetzt habe ich 9.2 nochmal frisch installiert - gleiches Problem. Das scheint auch Kernel-unabhängig zu sein, denn auch mit Kernel 2.6.10 Vanilla unter 9.1 trat es nicht auf, unter 9.2 schon. Entweder ist das jetzt ein Zufall und mein WLAN-Modul ging zeitgleich mit dem Update auf 9.2 kaputt oder mit der 9.2 stimmt was nicht. Bevor ich jetzt nochmal alles plattmache und 9.1 installiere, wollte ich mal fragen, ob hier jemand das Problem kennt. Es tritt wie gesagt nur bei hoher Transferrate auf. Surfen über DSL ist kein Problem. Danke! Thomas

Keine Verbindung zu AP ohne essid

Hallo! Ich kann mit meiner WLAN-Karte (SMC2835W, PCMCIA) keine Verbindung zu einem AP aufbauen. Die Karte läuft mit den Prism54.org-Treiber auf Kernel 2.6.11.6 mit dem grsecurity-Patch von grsecurity.net. Dieser AP besitzt weder eine essid noch ist die Verbindung verschlüsselt. Ein ifconfig eth0 up 192.168.0.3 iwconfig eth0 channel 07 ap MAC-Adresse essid any commit funktioniert nicht. Wie kann ich es erreichen, dass die Karte eine Verbindung zum AP aufbaut? Soundkarte funkt. mit SUSE 9.1LiveCD aber nicht mit 9.2 Prof

hi! ich bentuzte SUSE Linux 9.2 Prof. jedoch funktioniert weder meine Soundkarte (Twinhead Internatinaol VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller) noch meine Wlan-Karte. Bei der Konfiguration der Soundkarte unter Yast erhalte ich folgende Meldung: " Das Kernelmodul snd-via82xx für die Soundunterstützung konnte nicht geladen werden. Ein möglicher Grund dafür können falsche Modulparameter sein, sowie ungültige IO- oder IRQ-Parameter." Benütze ich aber SUSE Linux 9.1 Live-CD funktioniert die Einstellung der Soundkarte problemlos und ich erhälte auch eine Audioausgabe. Bitte um Hilfe Clemens

Mausgeschwindigkeit reduzieren

Hallo, ich habe mir eine neues Logitech-Maus (800 dpi) gekauft. Diese funktioniert auch super, ist aber sehr sensibel/schnell. Wie kann ich die Geschwindigkeit reduzieren? Mein System ist, was Mäuse angeht, etwas komplex. Da ist zunächst das Mauspad, dann habe ich über einen Portreplikator zu Hause eine andere Logitech-Maus angeschlossen, bei der die Geschwindigkeit ganz ok ist. Auf Arbeit schließe ich eine weitere Maus über Kabel an, deren Geschwindigkeit auch ok ist. Ich vermute daher, dass diese Mäuse eine geringere Auflösung haben. Bestätigt wird diese Annahme durch eine Maus, welche ich mal hatte, wo man die Auflösung manuell an der Maus einstellen konnte. Ich habe schon verschiedene Sachen (über Google gefunden) ausprobiert. Wenn ich die Geschwindigkeit über die Konfigurationsdatei das Kontrollzentrums ~/.kde/share/config/kcminputrc auf 0.6 gesetzt, was zur Folge hatte, dass das Mauspad sehr langsam war. xset m 1 1 (z.B.) hat keine Auswirkungen, genausowenig wie der Eintrag von "option "resolution" "200"" in der XF86Config, was aber wohl daran liegt, dass ich dort nur zwei Mäuse konfiguriert habe. Allerdings sind ja nur zwei Mäuse gleichzeitig angeschlossen. Hat jemand ne Idee? Wie müsste die XF86Config aussehen? MfG Kay P.S. "Suspend to Disk" Proklem

Hallo, mein Dell I8600 macht Probleme mit Suspend to Disk (SuSE 9.2 incl. aktuellem Onlineupdate). Beim Schliessen des Laptopdeckels bzw. betätigen des Deckelschalters scheint es, dass die Daten auf die Festplatte geschrieben werden. Folgende Meldungen werden angezeigt: stopping tasks freeing memory ... Anschliessend jedoch erscheint folgende Meldung: restarting tasks und das Benutzerkennwort zur Freisschaltung der Sitzung erscheint. Kennt vielleicht jemand dieses Verhalten und weis Abhilfe? Danke.
