Hallo, ich kann die SMC 2835W empfehlen, die kann 54Mbit und wird direkt vom Prism54-Treiber unterstützt. Das einzige was noch zusätzlich installiert werden muss ist die Firmware-Datei, die es aber unter prism54.org zum download gibt. If you are going to be using the embedded controller spinlock patch (discussed further below), you will probably have to use the 2.6.10 kernel. 2) Change into the directory containing the patches (i.e., the same directory in which you found this README file). 3) Ensure that you have Intel's iasl compiler installed somewhere in your PATH. Follow step 2-6 7) Recompile the DSDT, to produce the file DSDT.aml: iasl -sa dsdt.dsl 8a) copy the compiled DSDT.aml file e.g. to /etc 8b) add the path pointing to e.g. /etc/DSDT.aml to /etc/sysconfig/kernel ACPI_DSDT="/etc/DSDT.aml" 8c) Append DSDT to initrd: mkinitrd 8d) reboot 9) If you encounter problems of too high CPU load because battery is polled too often, set POWERSAVED_FORCE_BATTERY_POLLING="no" in (depends on your version, is it SL 9.2?) in /etc/sysconfig/powersave/battery In this case the battery is only polled on battery events (if battery info is updated too seldom, switch it on again). If it still does not help you need to compile the kernel and add the patch as described above (9), but then better ask again and I can tell you how you get your original SUSE kernel configs. Tell me if you encounter problems or if it works. Ich habe erkältungsbedingt die letzten Tage Zeit gehabt einen Artikel zur Nutzung von SuSe auf dem HP/Compaq nx5000 zu schreiben. Er ist unter http://www.linuxwiki.de/LinuxHardware/NoteBooks/Compaq/nx5000 zu finden. Da es ein Wiki ist, kann jeder den Artikel dort sofort verbessern. Einige der Informationen dort sind sonst nur schwer im Internet zu finden, insbesondere zum SD-Card-Reader. Nicht gelöste Probleme sind noch: - Das Aktivieren der blauen Radio-Switch-LED (WLAN) mit dem ipw2200-Treiber (zumindest mit acerhk hatte ich keinen Erfolg) - Suspend to RAM - der SD-Card-Reader (ich habe bereits einen Treiber, siehe Artikel) Mehr Informationen wären schön zu: - PC-Card - Bluetooth - SD-Card Reader - S-video out - Firewire - IRDA weil ich aufgrund fehlender Hardware dies nicht selber testen kann. Medion 5400

Hallo, seitdem ich SuSE 9.1 installiert habe, (war ein Schnäppchen beim Media-Markt,19.99 Euro) macht die Festplatte beim Ausschalten ein hartes Knachgeräusch, auf jeden Fall anders als bei SuSE 9.0. suspend2disk auf HP Pavilion zv5485ea

Hallo zusammen, ich habe mir ein neues Laptop zugelegt (siehe Betreff) und verwende darauf SuSE-9.2. Ich habe in Yast eingestellt das er beim drücken des Power-Knopfes einen suspend2disk durchführen soll. Synaptics Touchpad unter Suse 9.2

Hallo, Ich habe auf mein Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo 1425 Suse 9.2 Professional gespielt. Jetzt habe ich noch etwas Arbeit mit der Konfiguration. Eine Herausforderung ist, dass Verhalten des Synaptics-Touchpads zu modifizieren. Ich habe dazu das Dokument http://portal.suse.com/sdb/de/2004/04/wessels_touchpad91.html gefunden, wo auch ein Verweis auf das Dokument /usr/share/doc/packages/gpm/README.synaptics steht. Auf der Webseite steht, dass man die XF86Config editieren sollte, in der README-Datei steht, dass man /etc/gpm/syn.conf editieren sollte. Die Einstellungen in dieser Datei scheinen auch dem Verhalten des Touchpads zu entsprechen. Aber Änderungen (z.B. Umdefnieren welchen Mousebuttons ein Tap am Rand des Touchpads auslöst) haben keinen Effekt. Kann mir jemand sagen, was ich falsch mache. Vielen Dank Norbert

Display hat nur noch 640 x 480

Hallo Liste, noch ein Problem, nach der Neuinstallation von 9.1 (zuerst war alles o.k.) hat sich mein Bildschirm verstellt. Es ist alles riesengroß, und in sax2 kann ich nichts zentrieren und vergrößern oder verkleineren . Bei Bildschirmauflösung steht 640x480, beim überprüfen wird vesa 1024x768 eingestellt. nach dem Booten ist alles wieder dasselbe. Auch wird nachdem der Rechner gebootet hat der Bildschirm gesperrt.(kleines Schloß am Rechner leuchtet).Kann jemand helfen????? Hallo zusammen, hat jemand die Koppelung mit einem Win CE PDA am laufen? Ich bekomme eine Verbindung, kann aber nichts kopieren oder bearbeiten. synce-serial-start : Serial connection established. Connection terminated. Connect time 1.0 minutes. Sent 115 bytes, received 593 bytes. Script /etc/ppp/ip-down finished (pid 15916), status = 0x0 Connect time 1.0 minutes. Sent 115 bytes, received 593 bytes. synce-serial-start was unable to start the PPP daemon! ----------- An dem Strich bleibt die Verbindung ca 8 Minuten erhalten, danach kommt der 2. Teil.
