[opensuse-buildservice] Proposal to stick with int types instead of rails 5.1 bigint

Hi all, please see this PR for all the details: https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/pull/3809 tl;dr: Rails 5.1 changes primary keys from int to bigint by default. I propose to stick with int since converting to bigint will take too much time and effort. [opensuse-buildservice] Problems with Xen workers

Hi, in my private OBS instance (running 2.8.2), I'm seeing strange build issues on my OBS worker running with Xen. The other worker running with KVM does not show the problem. Most of the time it is testsuites failing. Example of a jemalloc build: [ 55s] === test/unit/pages === [ 55s] test_pages_huge:test/unit/pages.c:13: Failed assertion: (jet_pages_huge(pages, ((size_t)(1U << 12)))) == (false) --> true != false: Unexpected pages_huge() result [ 55s] test_pages_huge:test/unit/pages.c:15: Failed assertion: (jet_pages_nohuge(pages, ((size_t)(1U << 12)))) == (false) --> true != false: Unexpected pages_nohuge() result [ 55s] test_pages_huge: fail [ 55s] --- pass: 0/1, skip: 0/1, fail: 1/1 --- The same test passes if the build is on the KVM worker. Another issue was the test case of the obs-server package failing to connect to localhost:5000 (?) with something like "address family not supported". Sorry, I did not copy the message back then before I changed the _constraints to force the build onto the KVM host. Both failing builds are for SLES12-SP2, in the obs-server case I'd personally suspect kernel-obs-build being broken for Xen (missing a module), but for the jemalloc case I'm a bit stumped. Is openSUSE still using Xen workers at all? (if not, I'd just switch my xen worker to KVM and be done with it. [opensuse-buildservice] vfork resource temporarily unavailable cause build failures

Hi, on a private OBS instance after introducing change root workers based on SLES12 hosts some builds failed with above errors. The reason was the task limit (500) enforced from systemd, the solution was to set it via the service definition for the worker to unlimited. This did help until I changed the worker type from change root to KVM. Now I got build failures again with the same message. I do not understand why, because the build target system is not systemd based at all (SLES11) so the here should not be such a small limit as SLES12 SP2 had (500) inside the VM ? Does this be a common issue on KVM workers with a higher number of VCPUs (12) ? Any idea how to solve this ? [opensuse-buildservice] Download on Demand Service change URL to repository

Hi, we are using the download on demand service to fetch some packages from external repositories. For example Leap 42.x.. As there are problems with download.opensuse.org we wanted to switch to another mirror, but what have to be done after the URLs in the project meta are changed? How can we tell the service to read this configuration again? A simple restart seemed not to help, also not to rescan the repository with obs_admin --rescan-repository. [opensuse-buildservice] 403 error on home project

Hi, If I go to the OBS page of my home project, e.g. the Leap 42.3 repository, I see no erorr: https://build.opensuse.org/project/reposito ry_state/home:sionescu/openSUSE_Leap_42.3 , but when I click on "Go to download repository" I get a 403 error. [opensuse-buildservice] How does obs rpmlint detect illegal binary in noarch packages

Hi, I just split off 3d symbols from kicad-library into a sub package. After this rpmlint picks up "arch-independent-package-contains-binary-or-object" Nothing changed in the package just the directory containing the 3d symbols moved to the sub package. I moved it because it is very large and optional. I've created an rpmlintrc but I wonder why rpmlint never picked up what it thought was an executable binary before. The files start with #! but scripts aren't arch dependent. I can vaguely remember having a problem similar to this years ago with data files in rosegarden which had shebangs but AFAIR I filed a bug and it was fixed. How can this be achieved?
