I know I asked this rather recently. But I do not see the message in the mailing list archives or my emailer. Age is once again taking it's toll. So, here goes again: I have added a project to OBS. I know that I must run a command to publish this. I don't seem to get the command correct. Proposal to use data_migrate gem for API Hi all, I would like to propose that we use the data_migrate <https://github.com/ilyakatz/data-migrate> gem to handle changes to db data. Here is a PR <https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/pull/3701> I have opened where I need to update each notification's event_payload from YAML to JSON serialisation. This doesn't make sense to do in a normal migration because it has nothing to do with database structure only the content of the database. This gem allows us to handle such changes in the same way we handle normal migrations. The alternative is to use rake tasks for data changes which is what I initially did in the PR in this commit <https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/pull/3701/commits/f2c9ef6a65…>. However the downsides of that are that we need to always update the README's to let updaters know exactly which rake tasks need to be run to update their db and it also makes it easier to sync data changes with other developers. All thats needed to get your database up to date with the gem is to run `rake db:migrate:with_data`. If you have any opinions please post on the PR to continue this discussion. [opensuse-buildservice] Delete binaries doent't delete

Hi, on OpenSUSE Leap42.3 we did build a binary we don't need as it makes problems. I deleted it via the webGUI. The GUI says there are no binaries. I also deleted it via osc command osc -vv -A https://obs.uib.local wipebinaries -r openSUSE_Leap_42.3 home:uibmz:opsi:opsi40-experimental python-distribute result is ok but the binary still exists. Any recommendations? [opensuse-buildservice] Spurious "401 unauthorized" errors in osc with 2.8.3 / LDAP backend

Hi, I'm a long time happy user of the OBS with LDAP auth, even though it was not officially supported. Since the update from 2.8.2 to 2.8.3 (which brought official LDAP support), my users and I am seeing spurious "401 Unauthorized" messages on osc commands. Usually, a retry of the command then succeeds. There is nothing suspicious at that time in production.log. [opensuse-buildservice] Dockerize the Development Environment

Hey, there is a pull-request[1] that will change the way we set up our development environment, away from virtualization (with vagrant & virtualbox) to containers (docker & docker-compose). It's quite an intrusive change that requires you OBS developers to learn quite some new things. If we merge this now, your next rebase/pull/reset will drop vagrant and you have to learn docker. Is that okay with you or shall we prolong this to some later point?
