Hi,
to avoid problems while messing around and trying out things, I made
subprojects to my home-projects. Now that I figured out how to
actually get some things running, I wanted to move the packages into
the 'stable' main project / home-project. But at least google found no
way to do so.
Basically I would like to move the package and delete it in the
subproject afterwards. If this is possible. Otherwise I could link the
package and keep it in the subproject, but that could get messy after
a while.
Is there a way? Link first and then detachbranch? RTFM?
Regards,
Johannes

Is anyone watching the SR's in devel:languages:python? There are some
30 requests dating back nearly a month and nothing appears to be being
acted upon, I've been watching since I have 2 new SR that are 9+ days
old.
Hopefully one of the repo maintainers is reading this message and can
take action ;-)

Hi,
I did an update on my staging system yesterday.
Everything _seems_ to work.
But two things make me worrying:
1.
during %post while updating packages, I saw this error:
Updating etc/sysconfig/obs-server...

/srv/obs/configuration.xml: No such file or directory
/srv/obs/configuration.xml: No such file or directory
/srv/obs/configuration.xml: No such file or directory
/srv/obs/configuration.xml: No such file or directory
and later when stopping/starting:
choeger@buildservice:~> sudo /etc/init.d/obsscheduler restart
/srv/obs/configuration.xml: No such file or directory
/srv/obs/configuration.xml: No such file or directory
Is that anything I have to worry about???
2.

I've been keeping a local copy of the Virtualization repository on my
system for a while now, and with the latest kernel update on 13.1, I've
run into an issue with the kernel modules not loading for VirtualBox. (I
keep the local copy because I have multiple systems to update, and it
makes sense to download once and distribute locally rather than download
on each system).
I see that the latest updates in that repo are dated May 26, if I look in
the repo (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization/
openSUSE_13.1/) through the build service.
But if I look at the rsync source I'm using (http://download.opensuse.org/
repositories/Virtualization/openSUSE_13.1/), it seems the latest updates
are dated April 14-ish.
Am I using the wrong rsync source to sync from, or is the rsync server
not updated (maybe I missed an outage or system failure/down notification?
)
Thanks,
Jim

Hi,
I'm trying to do "osc co / osc ci" to copy an OBS project
from one OBS server to another new OBS server.
However,
the release number will all be reset to 1 for each package on new server.
I understand release number can be preset in SPEC file by "Release:" field,
but just wondering if there's a better way than modifying SPEC file one by one for 700+ packages,
like any osc command can achieve this?
Thanks,
Rick

Hello,
I am using the Debian-packages build for ownCloud, which are available
at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:community/Debian_7.0/.
They are only self-signed (besides an signature by 6B9D6523, openSUSE
Build Service <buildservice(a)opensuse.org>, which expired in 2008) using
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:community/Debian_7.0…,
so it is not possible to check its validity using OpenPGP's web of
trust. Would it be possible to provide verifiable repositories keys,
either by signing them or by providing them via https?
Kind regards,
Benedikt Wildenhain

well, dependening on the load on the server it can take quite some time
to create a new repo.
But you can check in the webui or via "osc r -v" if the repo
has been updated already.

HI All,
I'm working om my branch for the package xonotic from games repository.
This package has a source file almost 1GB big zip file:
So the spec file has there only the link to the source .
but it looks like osc has trouble with the downloaded file....
see this:
http://pastebin.suse.de/10061
I have checked _service:download_files:xonotic-0.7.0.zip and it looks like
valid zip file
Thank you for your tips ...
