Hello,
Is there is a "quick" way to checkout a repository, like mirror
w/rsync, aria2c, or something like that? I need to checkout the
devel:languages:R:CRAN-packages repository, or at least a very large
number of packages, which has some 3400+ packages and checking out
w/osc is going to take a long time.
Thanks!

Open Build Service(OBS) 2.5.1 released
======================================
Our first maintenance release for the 2.5.1 series. This update
brings a fix for migration problems from OBS 2.4, a fix for
lost events for github triggers and some wording and documentation
updates.
We have extended now also our testsuite to run migration
tests to detect errors like this migration error earlier
in future.
OBS is available as usual via the OBS:Server:2.5 project.
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/OBS:Server:2.5
The appliance can be downloaded from
http://openbuildservice.org/download
>From the official Release Notes:
================================
Updaters from any OBS 2.5 release can just ugrade the packages
and restart all services. Updaters from former releases should
read the README.UPDATERS file.

Hi,
I am new to opensuse and the build service, so I'd like to say hello! :)
I'm trying to compile the gcc4.6.3 and I am facing the problem with
configure script:
[ 295s] checking for suffix of object files... configure: error: in
`/home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/gcc-4.6.3/obj-i586-suse-linux/msp430/libgcc':
[ 295s] configure: error: cannot compute suffix of object files: cannot compile
[ 295s] See `config.log' for more details
My project is at
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:eltomek/cross-msp430-gcc
The main issue is that I have no idea how to browse the config.log as
it is on a remote machine to which I have no access once the osc fails
and exits.
I found this topic
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11502045/gcc-compilation-cannot-compute-…
that suggests to add "export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/path/to/mpc/lib/" but I have no idea
where this library resides on the build server.
Could you give me any hint?
Best Regards.

Hi together,
I have a problem with osc on openSUSE 13.1 x86_64.
When I do a localbuild (f. e. osc build openSUSE_xx.x xARCH) it fails
everytime with the same error message when configure is running.
Packages without configure are building fine. I think something with
the changeroot is broken, but I don't know howto find the problem.
ALso a manual
osc chroot
doesn't work. Only when I add the Version parameter.
osc chroot openSUSE_xx.x

Hi,
What is the recommended way to resolve deps cycles or loops in project?
How could I feed some bootstrap package to the project?

Hi,
I'm searching for a configuration or if not available a place in the
source code to change the default count (currently 25) of displayed
packages of a project in the webui (OBS version 2.4).
I already found a place to change the the default project count to 50,
but did not found something similar for the package list.
I changed (maybe wrong place, but working :-)):
in webui/app/views/project/list.html.erb
the call to renderProjectsTable(); into renderProjectsTable(length=50);
and now up to 50 projects are displayed per default.
Do here be a similar place to do it for the package count as well, or is
here a better solution ?
I our private instance we usually have 100+ packages in the projects, so
if somebody opens a project in firefox, the first action is to change
the selection box to show 100 entries, unfortunately, if you go to a
other project, the setting is again only 25 entries.
Thanks

I tried to use 2.5 iso and it created 2GB root partition on 50GB HDD. It doesn’t even enough to install man pages.
For what purposes this installer?
May installer ask for a hostname before it run all obs configuration services?
Could you add man pages into default installation?--

Hello All,
I'm trying to fix a package build on SLES and I would have thought
adding norootforbuild would have fixed it but it's still happening.
When the build is Processing files it can't find file files and during
%doc execution I'm getting permission denied to create the %docdir.
I feel like this should be trivial and staring me right in the face.
Can someone talk a look at this?

Hi,
I'm currently running into the issue described here:
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-buildservice/2014-01/msg00156.html
The following statements seem to be to be true:
1) In a given distribution, only the most recently built version of a
package will be available to satisfy BuildRequires
2) If a mis-matched version of a BuildRequires dependency exists in a
distribution in a package's project, no other project's distributions
will be searched for that dependency, even if the BuildRequires
specifies a version available in a different distribution that is in
the repository search configuration
Can someone please confirm they are correct?
If they are correct, are there any plans to support multiple versions
of builds for satisfying BuildRequires? I started to look at the code
around this and it seems pretty dense - what direction would you point
someone in if they wanted to modify this behavior? The only other
options I can think of are all very cumbersome in terms of
administrative overhead within OBS.
Thanks for your help.
Andy
