[opensuse-buildservice] access to log information from a linked project

Hello, when working on a slave OBS connecting on a master OBS via the public API (in my case Meego.com) the default model is to create an empty project which is a simple links to the public API. When you do so all log information for the packages which are accessed via the link project to the public API are lost. Carsten (see mail bellow sent on a MeeGo tool mailing list) shows that the issue does not come from the API but rather from the way the link is managed in OBS. Is there a way to go around that problem the log info for a package via a link project to a public API or should I file a bug ? [opensuse-buildservice] OBS removes popt-devel from BuildRequires

Hi guys, I'm trying to build Samba 3.6.0 for CentOS 6 in home:mludvig:samba36. Unfortunately it's failing because the build system keeps removing popt-devel from BuildRequires: I have the following modifications for samba.spec: 64c64 < BuildRequires: autoconf, gawk, gtk2-devel, libcap-devel, libuuid-devel, popt-devel --- > BuildRequires: autoconf gawk gtk2-devel libcap-devel libuuid-devel popt Why? Popt-devel rpm is being built from popt package in the same samba36 project and should therefore be available. Is there anything in the SPEC file that needs fixing? For now it's pretty much a direct import from CentOS samba src.rpm. [opensuse-buildservice] Patching a specfile?

I've got a number of packages I'm using the source service for. I'm downloading both the tarball and specfile using the source service. There is a problem, however: I need a few changes to the specfile to be able to actually build in OBS. [opensuse-buildservice] reducing build resource usage

Hi, any time a pkg is updated, all other pkgs that have THIS pkg as BuildRequire, are rebuild automatically. That's fine and most time wanted. But sometimes there is really no need to rebuild ALL affected pkgs, but only the one or other. e.g. in devel:languages:perl I updated perl-macros so that all RedHat derivative could be build with those macros. And with this change there is absolutely no need to rebuild ALL SUSE pkgs, but the RedHat pkgs. And then after doing lots of local builds you're recognizing that a further change is needed, again resulting in rebuilding ALL, not just those RedHat's that were "failed". What do you think ? [opensuse-buildservice] Does SR with auto-delete work?

All, I've submitted a few patches via SR recently. I've checked that my local package be auto-deleted upon acceptance. My impression is that it is not happening, but I haven't been keeping notes. But now all packages depending on Mesa can not build with the error: have choice for have choice for Mesa-devel needed by libqt4-devel: Mesa-wayland-devel Mesa-devel. [opensuse-buildservice] Re: [PATCH] [api+webui] revert exception notification change, this requires multiple new packages, replacing the 11.4 ones and is not backward compatible. Let's do this after 2.3 is released.
