[opensuse-buildservice] Unable to commit with osc

Hello, I got the new version of osc from git as instructed in the wiki, however I ran into an error when committing new files to my package: Server returned an error: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request Unknown command 'getprojectservices' for path /source/home:Admin/... Slight research provided me with an explanation and a promise of a patch that would fix this. That being said, I went through some patches from June and found commit b04550afc654277342aa3bdae685253f41ef6ab8 by marcush that fixes this problem. This commit changes the line from if e.code != 404 to if e.code != 400 However, in my version of osc, the line (250) was if e.code != 403 which doesn't match the one in the original patch. Am I running too old version of some program or has the previous fix been overwritten by accident? My OBS appliances are running 2.1.9, osc version shows 0.132git and python 2.7.2. [opensuse-buildservice] source package for a debian package not available!

The source for debian packages is only available, as far as I can figure out, on the Sources page for the package, there being no source repository. In some cases, for example, this one: https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=debian&project=home%3Apell… it is not even available there! Not there is no Download button for the .orig.tar.gz file! This means there is simply no way to get the source package! I am not sure if this is legal, but I am sure that rms would not approve. [opensuse-buildservice] Where are the public debian source packages for obs?

The prefered form for a person wishing to modify (or examine,) a debian bianry package, i.e. a .deb file, the source, is the debian source package which is 3 or more files, a .dsc file, a .debian.tar.gz, file and 1 or more .orig.*tar.gz files. (debian has moved to multiple tarball sources.) If you look in the locations found by opensuse get software, http://software.opensuse.org/114/en the urls of source srpms are given but debian source packages are not. The only way to get the files is to go to the source page of the package and use the urls associated with the download buttons. That works with a browser, but if you put these urls into wget the downloaded files will have the wrong names! With some kind of wierd html flags attached! If I want to ask someone to review my debian source package, how do a send them an email telling them how to download it???? I have my own OBS instance, but I'm having trouble getting 'osc build' to work: osc build CentOS_5.5 htop.spec Building htop.spec for CentOS_5.5/x86_64 Getting buildinfo from server and store to /home/ttelford/src/obs/home:ttelford/htop/.osc/_buildinfo-CentOS_5.5-x86_64.xml Getting buildconfig from server and store to /home/ttelford/src/obs/home:ttelford/htop/.osc/_buildconfig-CentOS_5.5-x86_64 Updating cache of required packages The build root needs packages from project 'CentOS:5.5'. Note that malicious packages can compromise the build result or even your system. Though the error says 'pkg not found at obsdownload.foo.bar.com', the packages Are downloading from the machine obsdownload.foo.bar.com. (/srv/obs/src_server.log & rep_server.log verify this). So problem #1: osc is claiming it can't find the package on my OBS server; even though it's still downloading it (from my OBS server). I'd appreciate a hint to what config files to examine/log files to check that can help me fix that. I realize it's not fatal, but users will complain. Problem #2 is the fatal one: Verifying integrity of cached packages using keys from home:ttelford warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: Header V3 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID e8562897: NOKEY /var/tmp/osbuild-packagecache/CentOS:5.5/standard/x86_64/acl-2.2.39-6.el5.x86_64.rpm : public key not available /var/tmp/osbuild-packagecache/CentOS:5.5/standard/x86_64/attr-2.4.32-1.1.x86_64.rpm : public key not available And so on. The log files tell me: 2011-08-19 17:36:28 [966]: GET /source/CentOS:5.5/_pubkey? 169.238.65.222: 404 CentOS:5.5: no pubkey available 2011-08-19 17:36:28 [967]: GET /source/home:ttelford/_pubkey? I'm not sure exactly what to do about this error either - I imagine it's because I'm mising a public key (the rpm signing key?) for the repository in question; but where should it be placed when I get it? (/srv/obs/build/<distro>/standard/x86_64/:full ?) I've tried copying the RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5 to /srv/obs/repos/CentOS:5.5/_pubkey (and similar dirs) without success.
