I have:
incron.x86_64: E: permissions-file-setuid-bit (Badness: 10000)
/usr/bin/incrontab is packaged with setuid/setgid bits (04755)
If the package is intended for inclusion in any SUSE product please open
a bug
report to request review of the program by the security team
Even though I have:
incron.rpmlintrc
addFilter("permissions-file-setuid-bit .*/usr/bin/incrontab")
and that's been working in every version from 10.0 to 11.4
The suggestion about setbadness, doesn't that mean to ignore the error
on any file that might trigger it? How is ignoring an error everywhere
better than selectively ignoring it for a single specific known file?
You can't make that suggestion and still say you are worried about
peoples safety and trying to make things the most correct they can be.
The package is incron:

Greetings, I am occasionally having this timeout error occur with long-running builds for a package, was wondering if anyone else has encountered it:
‘connect to <obs_master_hostname>:5252: Connection timed out’. We see this in the OBS build logs.
Is this reported by a worker? If so, we can’t tell which ones are having issues.
Thanks,
George Whiteman

Hi team,
I got an error for my personal repo home:cathay4t:kde-rhel6
==
have choice for qt-devel needed by phonon-devel: qt-devel qt3-devel
==
I have fixed my problem by adding "Prefer: xinetd" to project config.
Base on your wiki,
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Build_Service_Tips_and_Tricks
"the long term fix is to write a mail to opensuse-buildservice
mailinglist and ask to add one of the files to the .dsc file of the
repository, so other packages with the same problem can be fixed
automatically."
It seems your guys have some magic to fix it automatically for other
packages.
Thanks.
Best regards.

Hi everyone,
I have started a fresh new OBS server based on "OBS light server"
Version = 1.0.1
After correctly setting the proxy configuration in
/etc/sysconfig/proxy

I can successfully build for Intel with all predefined build target :
MeeGo:1.2
MeeGo:1.2.0
MeegGo:Trunk
But Build for arm failed during during the build environnement configuration ...
Here is some element of the log :

I remember reading about OBS being capable of publishing the packages built exclusively for i586 architecture on x86_64 repositories as well or vice versa. But this requires a particular tag to be added to the spec file.
I am building master-boot-code package, which is built exclusively for i586 architecture. I need this package to be published to x86_64 repository as well after the build.
I am not able to remember the tag :(. Could someone help me find the related information/docs?
Thank you

Hi,
Does anybody know how to clean history files of a OBS? (to gain more
space.)
If someone knows how to gain space for a backup, I am interested too.

Hi,
The following repo
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization:/Cloud:/EC2/openSU…
shows the packages that are supposed to be there, but when trying to
access any of the packages a 404 error occurs for
http://mirror.umoss.org/opensuse/repositories/Virtualization:/Cloud:/EC2/op…
Could someone please take a look at this and fix the problem please. I
triggered a rebuild but that didn't help.
Thanks,
Robert

Hello,
as little of you follow the MeeGo development tool mail list, you likely
have not seen this mail which can be of interest for any OBS user.
Discussion will take on the MeeGo tool mailing list if needed.

Sujet: [Meego-distribution-tools] New versions of obstag and obs2obscopy
Date : Wed, 05 Oct 2011 18:41:42 +0200
De : Florent Vennetier <florent(a)fridu.net>

Hi,
I'm working with Ronan and Dominig on the OBSLight project.
I just want to let you know that new versions of obstag and obs2obscopy
have been published
https://meego.gitorious.org/meego-developer-tools/obs-light/trees/master/sr…
. They are now written in Python and are able to tag and copy packages
using a public (anonymous) API (eg. https://api.meego.com/public). So it
is now possible to do project copies without having an account on the OBS.
Packages which are links to other packages in the OBS are also copied
(not linked).
Documentation is here: http://wiki.meego.com/Obstag
Example:
$ obstag https://api.meego.com/public MeeGo:1.2.0:oss MeeGo-1.2.0-oss.md5
$ obs2obscopy https://api.meego.com/public MeeGo:1.2.0:oss
http://myObs:81 myMeeGo MeeGo-1.2.0-oss.md5
Known issues:
- Packages which are links are overwritten each time you launch
obs2obscopy (this is not the case of regular packages whose md5sum are
compared before doing copy).
More details here: http://wiki.meego.com/Obstag#Known_issues
Florent

Hi all,
I'd like to request a new project on the open build service for the document
viewer Evince.
I am one of the Evince upstream maintainers and currently, I am building the
Windows binaries for Evince in my home project. I would like them to be build
in a place that can be the official location for all Evince developers.
Project Name: Evince
Title: Evince Document Viewer
Description: Evince is a document viewer for multiple document formats.
I submitted this request last week at bugzilla:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=720009
Cheers,
Hib Eris

It looks like there is an issue publishing armv7hl packages
(http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/ARM/armv7hl/).
Packages are in state: "State needs recalculations, former state was: The
repository state is being calculated right now"
