[opensuse-buildservice] Categories in .desktop files OpenSuse 11.1/2

Hello, I'm building packages for a program which uses the line "Categories=GNOME;Application;AudioVideo;" in the .desktop file and get the error message "ERROR: No sufficient Category definition: /usr/src/packages/BUILDROOT/nted-1.9.6-13.1.x86_64//usr/share/applications/nted.desktop" when I build for OpenSuse 11.1 or 11.2. In the build for 11.0 is all ok. Well, in the build-log I get the warning, that "Application" is deprecated, so I update the .desktop file with "# %suse_update_desktop_file -r %{name} GNOME AudioVideo" to remove the entry "Application". But the error is not gone. So I found out that the values "GNOME" and "AudioVideo" are not accepted by OBS but as written in http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html "AudioVideo" and "GNOME" are valid values. So it would be great, when you can update the building rules that this values are accepted in the future. Hi, I commited a backgroundrb worker into the frontend. This means you need to need to start ./scripts/backgroundrb if you want uptodate workerstatus in your web client. For most test instances this will not be interesting though. [opensuse-buildservice] build 2009.07.27 doesn't detect pre-existing Ubuntu installs

When building against xUbuntu_9.10 using build-2009.07.27, it keeps reinstall all the .debs. Do .deb based workareas not have detection that packages are already installed in the chroot like .rpm based chroots do? Or do I need to upgrade to a newer build? Hello, For the brave people, who want some fun over the weekend: In openSUSE:Tools:Unstable is a 0.124 beta 1 of osc. Some important fixes, an almost complete tool chain for openSUSE maintenance and some cool features are inside. http://software.opensuse.org/search?baseproject=openSUSE:Tools&q=osc One of my favorites is the possibility to run "osc sr" inside of a checked out project directory now. It checks which packages have changed and asks to create submitrequest for them. This is our NEWS section: 0.124 - added 'osc bugowner' as a more intelligent version of 'osc maintainer -B' - added option '-B' to osc maintainer, prints bugowner OR maintainer. - added 'osc req help' as convenience alias to 'osc help req'. - 'osc in' to be done. [opensuse-buildservice] RAM issue

Hi, I quite new to this service. Though I have to admit I do like it. I have build some varnish rpm for centos 5. For some strange reason it build well yesterday and now I get some strange errors about not enough memory when doing tests. Does anyone have a clue or can add additional information? [opensuse-buildservice] GPG key disagreement for SLES 10 rpms

Do you know where I can get the GPG keys for the SLES 10 rpms? I'm getting a wonky error on installing aaa_base from SLES 10: /var/tmp/osbuild-packagecache/SUSE:SLE-10:SDK/standard/x86_64/aaa_base-10-12.26.x86_64.rpm: sha1 md5 (GPG) NOT OK (MISSING KEYS:GPG#218d18d7) If I do rpm -qpi aaa_base, I get the GPG key is: Signature : DSA/SHA1, Thu 03 May 2007 08:28:29 AM CDT, Key ID a84edae89c800aca Why do the two Key IDs differ? This is setting up a SLES 10 chroot on a Ubuntu 9.10 host if that matters. [opensuse-buildservice] Restricting a build to certain workers

I have build workers that run SLES 9 and SLES 10. It appears that the SLES 9 worker's kernels are too old to do Ubuntu 9.10 builds, as I get this error: FATAL: kernel too old Is there anyway to make Ubuntu:9.10 jobs not go on SLES 9 workers to prevent this? Hi, I was following the topic more or less and now there is a first update to be done so I checked out what I need to do as a community member to submit it.
