Hello Mates, atm i'm trying to run an Ruby Program. [opensuse-buildservice] technical reorganisation svn->git and administrator mailing lists ?

Hello, I would like to propose two changes in our development enviroments. svn to gitorious ================ openSUSE is currently consolidating its svn/git/... systems to gitorious. I would like to propose that we move the entire openSUSE svn from forge.novell.com, including the Build Service also to this place. http://gitorious.org/opensuse/ As a side effect, this would be a switch from subversion to git. git is more feature rich, but less obvious to use. Also the account at gitorious will not be the same as in the rest in the infrastructure. So it will be a bit harder to verify if user X at gitorious is really user Y in bugzilla/OBS/.... Are there concerns in doing this ? Mailing list re-org =================== We have basically two mailing lists regarding OBS atm. One is this opensuse-buildservice ml, which is intended for developer questions and for reporting issues with the opensuse.org instance. opensuse-packaging is intended for topics how to use the OBS and general packaging questions. I would like to propose another buildservice-admin mailing list, esp. for people who run a build service instance. An open question is, if we should make the -admin ml world readable or a closed and invatation only ml. The later would have the advantage that we could use it also as reporting address for potential security issues. What are your opinions about this ? Hi, The subversion related packages in the buildservice project "Subversion" are now being maintained in devel:tools:scm:svn. The duplicates in devel:tools:scm will be removed as soon as the develproject changerequests are being approved by the build team. the packages have been removed from Subversion and publishing has been disabled. [opensuse-buildservice] Need some help with project setup etc.

Hi, I could use some help with the build service. I would eventually like to get perlcritic working in OBS. percritic depends on various other modules, one of them being B-Keywords. B-Keywords is a simple Perl module, and thus I figured it would be a good place for me to start learning about the build service and how to use it. I've managed to create my home project and somehow I even managed to create a perlcritic sub-project. ALthough I am not sure how I did this. Now my questions: 1.) Since B-Keywords is just Perl how can I manage to create a noarch package? 2.) As far as I can tell perl-B-Keywords sits at the top level of my home project. However, I'd like it to be a sub-project. How can I move it to be a sub-project? 3.) On my local build I get the error "error: failed to stat /sys/kernel/debug: No such file or directory" what does this mean? 4.) On the server the build fails apparently due to: "perl-B-Keywords-1.09-3.1.i586.rpm: directories not owned by a package:", what does this mean and how can I fix it.
