Expansions run 10 times faster, we have almost no queue of high or med prio events anymore (finished -> succeeded/failed transisition should be much faster). However, this pretty much new code, please report behaviour changes or problems. Changed parts are: - package dependency expansion calculation - package ordering - meta file generation - replacement of :full.cache (perl structured) with solv files * adrian back from vacation, working on backlog. * mmaier dig into ruby on rails code, will try to implement some features from junior jobs page. Next Steps ========== * Highest priority have 11.2/SLE 11 SP1 requirements - source link forwarder (make it possible to link against :Update project, even if package is not there yet). - clarify and implement the maintained product list and search handling - fix debug package handling in kiwi. * implement binary cache handling for bs_worker. This should reduce load on our main backend server and make it faster. AI: adrian configure cache partitions on build hosts. * source service setup: AI: adrian get hardware for it installed. * Check status of application list interface for external web pages. Hardware status =============== * 5 new build hosts got installed (buil30-build34), 12 instances each * 4 from the 8 build2X are still running, but with reduced IO speed. [opensuse-buildservice] When does a scheduled build start

I have looked but could not find any information on when a scheduled build will start. I do understand that this will depend on the load and what is in front of the queue and will be a bit inaccurate. It still would be nice to know whether something will start in 2 minutes or 2 hours or 2 days. Hi, I am running local OBS 1.6.0. There are a lot of failures like: response from watcher for https://api.opensuse.org/public remote error: 504 Gateway Time-Out retrying in 60 seconds for both i586 and x64 schedulers. It happens very often and I need a solution how to fix it. [opensuse-buildservice] abortbuild doesn't

I have a local OBS instance running 1.6.0. I've found that I seem unable to use abortbuild to abort the build of all packages in a project or project + repo. The response is always "ok" but the status of the packages doesn't seem to change (scheduled) and tailing the logs on the instance shows that package builds continue on their merry way. In a related question, sometimes I change the build configuration by editing the file. Even after multiple restarts, *sometimes* the altered config is picked up and sometimes it isn't. Specifically, I'm adding Preinstall items. Hello, Here is a nice bandwidth bar tool that shows how busy things get in the way of volume of traffic coming in-to and out-of a computer. The source code to the bandwidth bar tool (bwgraph) was used on the front page of kernel.org The bwgraph source is located at http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/web/bwgraph/ Be interesting for the obs hosts or any other hosts you have. I started to package php5-pear-log, that was removed from the openSUSE base distribution, in the build service in the repository server:php:applications. (https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=server:php:applications) When building the package, the following warning is issued (local build, using osc 0.120): running changelog2spec --target rpm --file /home/richard/packages/osc/server:php:applications/php5-pear-log/php5-pear- log.spec Warning: spec file parser line 37: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 40: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 41: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 48: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 88: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 89: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 90: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 91: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 92: can't expand %(...) Warning: spec file parser line 93: can't expand %(...) and some more of those lines. The variable that those lines have in common is %{peardir}. This variable is defined at the top of the spec file. The definition is as follows: %define peardir %(pear config-get php_dir 2> /dev/null) The variable gets defined nicely, as in the end the build of spec file results in an src.rpm and binary rpm.
