Hi, in my auto-imported home:bwalle:Factory, I have a "ready" file for each package. What's the purpose of that file? [opensuse-buildservice] Problems recompiling dspam 3.8.0-40.1

Hi all, I have to recompile dspam to add a feature (*--enable-domain-scale), *so i have get the src of DSPAM for SUSE from here: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/mail/openSUSE_11.0/src/ds… Then, i have tried at first to recompile from source, with that command: rpmbuild --rebuild dspam-3.8.0-40.1.src.rpm But [opensuse-buildservice] newbie package builder

Hi, I am trying to build a package for Yorick, a scientific interpreted language, for opensuse. I am new to this. I started by reading the build service tutorial: http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service. From there, it seems like a good idea to build the package locally first, using the 'build' tool. Thus I went to: http://en.opensuse.org/SUSE_Build_Tutorial. However, it seems this tutorial is rather vague, and does not consist of actual steps with specific instructions of what to type in / do. It gets really bad in 2.2: configure build. It even tells one to do "and things like that." So I'm confused. Is there a better guide available? If so, it should be mentioned on the build tutorial page. If this tutorial is simply still a work in progress, I'm happy to try improving it. Perhaps I misunderstand the workflow. Am I supposed to configure the build environment at the command prompt, or is this done automatically by commands inside the rpm .spec file? Hi, I'm wondering why the web frontend loads content from opensuse.org. The following files have references to opensuse.org /srv/www/obs/webclient/app/views/layouts/application2.rhtml /srv/www/obs/webclient/public/css/local/contentadd_style.css /srv/www/obs/webclient/public/css/local/style.css I attached a small patch for application2.rhtml, to change the web links to local pathes. Note: The iehacks_opensuse.css is different from the version of static.opensuse.org. [opensuse-buildservice] OBS prefers packages from openSUSE:* repo instead of project one

Hi, I work on Java:jpackage-5.0 project and have troubles with xml-commons-* packages. It seems, that OBS prefers a xml-commons packages from openSUSE: {11.0,Factory}. But I don't know why. The Java:jpackage currently contains: - jpackage-utils - ant-bootstrap - xalan-j2-bootstrap - xml-commons (version* 0:1.3.04) The distribution contains a same packages with version number 1.3.02. But without something like that in spec (see xerces-j2-bootstrap): %if ! %defined suse_version BuildRequires: xml-commons-resolver >= 0:1.1 BuildRequires: xml-commons-apis >= 0:1.3 %else BuildRequires: xml-commons-resolver12 BuildRequires: xml-commons-jaxp-1.3-apis %endif obuild always install a versions from openSUSE:. I have tried some "magic" with Prefer, or Substitute in a prjconf, but without a success. * I know, that Epoch is not used in SUSE, but I try to do a minimum changes to spec files in this project. Maybe this should be a problem ... Is there something I missed?
