[opensuse-buildservice] Making the build script solve package dependencies

In a quest to make sure I don't have to repeatedly make a small change, use osc to update the packages on the build service, and then wait for a rebuild, I've been using the build script[0]. For most packages this works well but on some of the perl packages I'm building, I'm having problems where two or more packages satisfying dependencies and the build script aborting because it can't choose one or the other. The most common situation is where perl-libwww-perl and sitescooper both provide several of the same dependencies, with sitescooper usually having the older version. While the build service installs the package perl-libwww-perl, the build script aborts with an expansion error listing all the packages that satisfy the dependencies. What I'd like to know is, short of adding a specific dependency for perl-libwww-perl to the spec files, is there a way to make the build script handle the dependencies just like the build service? [opensuse-buildservice] Howto create a KIWI image with OBS

Hi, since OBS 0.9 it should be possible to crate KIWI images. But if I upload a sample SLES10 KIWI file to my local OBS or to the opensuse OBS I just get the message "exlcuded". I used the config.xml from kiwi-desc-isoboot-2.88-80.1. Best regards. [opensuse-buildservice] database meta package for php application

Hi, I'm looking for database meta package, allowing to specify a requirement, which can be satisfied by either installing MySQL or Postgres. I also need to specify the requirement for the matching php extension (php5-mysql for mysql or php5-pgsql for postgres). Does something like that exists for SUSE and even better for the other (RPM) distros supported by the build service. The PHP application I need this for is server:eGroupWare (www.egroupware.org). [opensuse-buildservice] non-OSI compliant packages in the openSUSE Build Service

I've read some concerns from other distributions about TrueCrypt (thread starts here: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/distributions/2008-October/000273.html) TrueCrypt is indeed not OSI compliant, we have a policy that the build service contains only OSI compliant packages and therefore I suggest to put TrueCrypt on the blacklist (see http://en.opensuse.org/Application_Black_List) under a heading "Packages with non-OSI License" and get it removed.
