[opensuse-buildservice] help about writing spec files somewhat broken

Hello, I noticed that the help about writing spec files is somewhat broken. In detail: - go to any buildservice project - in the "help about..." dropdown, choose "writing spec files" You are now redirected to a page on developer.novell.com that offers spc.html for download (mimetype application/x-download). Problem: There are some other files linked inside this document - and the links to these are (of course) dead in the downloaded copy. Expected behaviour: Open spc.html in the browser (mimetype text/html) instead of forcing the download. This should also fix the dead links. If someone wants a local copy, he can still choose "save as" in his browser. [opensuse-buildservice] missing depedencies

hi, i'm trying to update kima & KMobiletools package in my OBS home folder, http://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=kima&project=home%3Adsbhayan… http://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=KMobiletools&project=home%3A… but i'm having problems regarding missing depedencies. in kima, OBS complains about missing libhal (hal package) in KMobiletools, OBS complains about missing gammu-devel package for kima, i already tried making an aggregate from http://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=hal-10.2&project=home%3Adkuk… and add BuildRequires: hal to my kima.spec, but kima still complains about missing hal package. as for KMobiletools, i already build gammu 1.10.6 in my home folder (http://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=gammu&project=home%3Adsbhaya…), but the problem still persist. any hints? thanks in advance. [opensuse-buildservice] Firefox and login credentials

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.4 on Mac OSX to access build.opensuse.org. My username/password is saved with Firefox but if I leave the browser for an extended period of time, and then try to click on "Watched projects", I will be re-directed to a Novell page telling me to log in (even though I am already logged into the build.opensuse.org interface). What I end up having to do is log out from the interface manually, and then log in again. Is this an known issue? [opensuse-buildservice] BuildService and the :

Hello, I asked myself, why the buildservice uses the ":" as seperation character? This makes some trouble in commandline, as : must always be escaped and also it looks strange from users side. Wouldn't it be better to introduce "/" in it's full meaning? The repositories are already stored hierarchical on the download servers. Having the same in the buildservice would be nice. E.G. my home:dstoecker:perl would be nice to have as link perl in home:dstoecker. (or better home/dstoecker/perl). I know that would probably be a bigger change right now, but it would make the buildservice compatible to the general Unix path conventions. [opensuse-buildservice] Update to rrdtool in Fedora Core 6 repository?

I am currently trying to build the Ganglia package: http://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=ganglia&project=OSCAR It requires rrdtool for build -- however, the version in the FC6 repository is 1.0.50 but the current version in FC6 extras is 1.2.23-3.fc6: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/extras/6/i386/ Can this be updated? In general, when/how often are these packages updated? On a slightly different topic, my ganglia spec file builds both arch-specific and noarch packages (ganglia-gmond and ganglia-gmetad are arch-specific, ganglia-web is noarch). How can I get both types of packages built in the BS? [opensuse-buildservice] Debug packages

I'm having issues creating debug packages on Fedora and Mandriva, SUSE works fine. I currently have: %if 0%{?suse_version} %debug_package %else %debuginfo %endif This is obviously incorrect as Fedora and Mandriva refuse to create debug packages (they build without error). If I just have 'debug_package' only SUSE creates debug RPMs (same as the above statement. Could someone enlighten me as to what I'm doing wrong, please? [opensuse-buildservice] Bug in xaw3d RPM Package (openSUSE Factory)?

Hello, When I try to compile the package acfax for openSUSE 10.3 (Factory), it complains about missing header files for xaw3d (e.g. ThreeD.h....) The xaw3d RPM package from OpenSUSE 10.2 contains a directory /usr/include/... containing the header files, but the 10.3 (Factory) package has no directory /usr/include/.... with the header files. Therefore the compilation of acfac in the Buildservice fails. On the other hand I cannot find any -devel package for xaw3d. Has anyone a solution for that? Or have I just to wait for an updated package?
