[opensuse-support] kmail not show the imap folders

I All, Sinse long time I can not manage that Kmail show the email folders. I have deleted many times the akonadi an kmail files, I wait some updates, but still the same. Now I'm using other emails clients, but I will like to use kmail, any idea how to solve the problem? I have follow a lot of solutions that are in internet without result. I'm using opensuse Tumbleweed and it is updated. [opensuse-support] Problem with sending email via gmail from postfix on Tumbleweed

Since a few days, apparently after an upgrade, postfix tries to send messages to smtp.gmail.com:587 (SASL authentication failed; cannot authenticate to server smtp.gmail.com[2a00:1450:400c:c0a::6d]: invalid parameter supplied). I have a file /etc/postfix/sender_dependent_relayhost in which messages I send with my gmail account are referred to this server. I also have a /etc/postfix/sasl_passwd file with this server and associated username and password. This used to work quite well a few days ago. I searched the internet for solutions, but found none. [opensuse-support] VPN, NetworkManager, suspend

Hi *, I need a place, where I can hook up a script that runs before a VPN connection goes down in case the system is suspended. So far I tried to use - systemd/system-sleep/myscript -> is run before systems goes to sleep, but too late to handle connections, because NetworkManager has already stopped them all - NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/myscript NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/pre-[up|down]myscript -> is run, but vpn-pre-down is never called when the system goes to sleep; even worse, the vpn connection is stopped *after* the underlying interface has been disconnected So where to put such a script? Latest Tmbleweed snapshot with NM 1.18.4. TIA. Bye. [opensuse-support] How and where to assign a --timeout to spamd? opensuse Leap 15.1

I have the problem that spamd fails starting after suspend to disc and start, but runs well when started manually once the system is running. I therefore wanted to join the following variable to /etc/sysconfig/spamd --timeout-tcp=80 What I found in the web (https://spamassassin.apache.org/full/3.2.x/doc/spamd.html) is that the syntax should be: --timeout-tcp=number "This option specifies the number of seconds to wait for headers from a client (spamc) before closing the connection. The minimum value is 1, the default value is 30, and a value of 0 will disable socket timeouts completely." But when I join the parameter in the above mentioned file I get: "ignoring invalid environment assignment --timeout-tcp=80':/etc/sysconfig/ spamd I tried also to join it to the line: SPAMD_ARGS="-d -c -L" (Like SPAMD_ARGS="-d -c -L --timeout-tcp=80 ") but without any change. Does anybody know were to correctly set the argument and if the syntax is right? [opensuse-support] Monitor configuration change in Plasma 5.17

Before the upgrade to Plasma 5.17, when I connected my laptop to the docking station and the laptop's lid was closed, KDE would automatically disable the laptop screen. Now I see that all my three screens (the two external and the laptop one) are enabled even if the lid is closed. I find it weird, probably a bug/regression. Does anybody else see this? Should I report it upstream? Thank you in advance Cris

After upgrading to Tumbleweed 20191014, I'm getting this message whenever I start a bash session: >bash: mc: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file >bash: error importing function definition for `mc' It seems to be a problem with the file /etc/profile.d/mc.sh mc is installed from the main OSS repo.
