Wrong path to %{name}.lang in %files section when use tarball-less source service

Hello! I am try to follow a 'Avoid tar balls' section of OBS documentation at https://openbuildservice.org/help/manuals/obs-user-guide/cha.obs.best-pract… and got an error when processing a lang package files: "[ 555s] Processing files: mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch [ 555s] error: Could not open %files file /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/mypackage-lang-1.0.noarch/mypackage.lang: No such file or directory" Extra leading directories are present in the path: /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/home/abuild/rpmbuild/SOURCES/... I was looking for how %files -f works, but it looks like the basic rpm functionality, not a macro. Probably I can fix it by setting some variable manually before processing? My specfile looks like at guide: %if %{build_tar_ball} Source0: %{name}-%{version}.tar.bz2 %else Source0: _service %endif ... %prep %if %{build_tar_ball} %setup -q %else %setup -n %_sourcedir/%name-%version -T -D %endif _service: <services> <service name="obs_scm"> <param name="url">git://git.code.sf.net/p/mypackage/code</param> <param name="scm">git</param> <param name="versionformat">2.5+git%cd.%h</param> <param name="filename">mypackage</param> </service> <service mode="buildtime" name="set_version"/> </services> But when %define build_tar_ball 1 - the package build successful, %file -f path is correct. Looks like a bug... Or I am doing something wrong?

Hello, Feilong is an Open Mainframe Project which provides SDK for managing IBM z/VM using RESTful APIs - https://github.com/openmainframeproject/feilong. An OMP mentee is working to use OBS to automate the building of the Feilong packages - https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:Aazam:feilong. We would like to create a "feilong" subproject under the Virtualization project. What is the procedure to request the creation of a subproject? Thank you, Mike

is the exact rake version important?

Hi all, I am in the process of updating my OBS instance, still running on SLES12-SP5, from 2.10.2 current 2.10.22 (both +patches). (Once this is successfully done, I'll move it to a fresh SLES15-SP6 machine, but I did not want to do two changes at once). While doing this I'm updating my documentation of course ;-) I found that obs is now using ruby2.7 and the ReleaseNotes of version 2.10.13 state that one should ensure that alternatives are pointing to rake2.7. The thing is: there is no ruby2.7-rubygem-rake on SLES. Not SLES12 nor SLES15. OBS:Server:2.10 project also does not provide rubygem-rake. I did not need any rake commands during my update, so this is not a big concern, but should ruby2.5-rubygem-rake work as well as far as OBS is concerned or do I absolutely need the ruby2.7 version? debbuild in private OBS instance?

Hello all, it seems debbuild (https://github.com/debbuild/debbuild) can make building DEBs for simple packages quite easy on OBS. We're running a private OBS instance (2.10.22) on an openSUSE Leap 15.5 host. IIUC for using debbuild to build DEBs for Debian on our private OBS we need make this project available https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Debian:debbuild So I've copied the above project to our internal OBS instance - including project configuration and meta. But I cannot get the individual packages to build because of missing dependencies. Trying to build "debbuild" gives me nothing provides debbuild Trying to build "perl-Lua-API" gives me nothing provides perl-deb-macros In the original Project Config (https://build.opensuse.org/projects/Debian:debbuild/prjconf) I found a hint w.r.t. bootstrapping, but no dice. Hi there, I keep receiving error messages like the one below for all i586 builds. The strange thing is, that the named URL does not show an error at all, but instead says: Retried build at Thu Jul 25 08:35:30 2024 returned same result, skipped If someone feels responsible for the i586 build environment, can this be fixed please? Hi, https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/RockyLinux:8 is broken.
