Something corrupt on build.opensuse.org storage for Ubuntu 20.04 cached data?

Hey all, So the problem I'm seeing with CentOS Stream 9 stuff[1] is now happening to my Ubuntu 20.04 builds. Server returned an error: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request 86remote error: remote error http //ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/ubuntu/pool/main/c/cyrus-sasl2/libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit_2.1.27+dfsg-2ubuntu0.1_amd64.deb /srv/obs/build/Ubuntu 20.04/update/arch/ full/.dod.23611.libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit.deb No such file or directory 87 This affects running "osc build" on packages in my private OBS interconnected with the openSUSE Build Service. Building *in* the private OBS or openSUSE Build Service itself is fine, but using "osc build" locally is not. :( Can anyone help? CentOS-8 build now fails in obs

Hi, we build integration test images for CentOS8 in obs here: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Virtualization:Appliances:Images:Te… As you can see the images_CentOS8 target has stopped to resolve. Randomly failing builds with "getbinaries: missing packages"

Hello everyone, we're running a self-hosted instance of OBS (2.10.12) which falls back to the build.opensuse.org instance for the definition of the base distributions. Since some time, builds are randomly, but pretty regularly, failing with the log message: getbinaries: missing packages: <some package names> (worker was XXX) After a click on "Trigger Rebuild" these then usually work fine. I understand this is a problem downloading the dependencies via the opensuse.org instance? Are we hitting some kind of limit of the upstream API, and can this be fixed by configuration on our side? CentOS 8 EOL and OBS

Hi, with CentOS 8 being EOL, and the binary repositories now gone: * will building packages for CentOS 8 keep working in the public OBS? * will building packages for CentOS 8 keep working in private instances for OBS? Right now, both are still working. I guess this is because of cached packages, that will expire at some point and then it starts failing? Or is the public OBS possibly building all of the CentOS packages and that gets used instead of the official repositories, and it will keep on working for some years? If that assumption is true, is that also where the private OBS instances download packages from? Thanks! Best, Oliver

osc build fails locally

Hi, I'm struggling with an issue on osc build for which I have no idea what's going on. There is a debian package created from orig.tar.gz, debian.tar.xz and .dsc, the build on the backend works, a local build like this: osc build xUbuntu_22.04 x86_64 fails with fetching packages for 'ubuntu:22.04': | Elapsed Time: 0:00:18 /tmp/osc_build_filedxongqro: missing control.tar What does this error message mean ? The distribution (jammy) was imported as DoD to obs and as I said the build works on the backend. Fedora RawHide builds busted atm

Intermittent build errors on OBS workers: Input/output error

Good morning, since yesterday I noticed intermittent build errors on some OBS workers. The error message is always similar, the name of the RPM changes: /var/cache/obs/worker/root_3/.pkgs/coreutils.rpm: Input/output error (worker was cloud104:3) So far I noticed this on cloud104:2, cloud104:3 and cloud104:4. Anyone else also having this issue? Could someone have a look? Input/output errors on cloud104:2

Hi, in the last hours i noticed a problem with the worker cloud104:2, the worker failed immediately after startup and just gave me an input/output error. I don't think this is related to my build process, because on other workers it builds very well, so unless I'm completely wrong, its something like a server side storage issue. So my question is if this is a server side issue and where can I report such an error. Thanks Regards, Jakob
