Alternatives for polling the API

Hi, I would like osc to have command or plugin to behave similar to Fedora's koji build command. It is waiting until the running build of the server is finished (with any result) for all architectures. This is not very complicated and looks like something that I can implement on my own at holidays. However, there is a design issue I would like to discuss before. Is there a better way to track the build status except polling /build/<project>/_result every few seconds or so? I found rabbit.opensuse.org server, but I am not sure if it is considered as a part of API and guaranteed to be here. Also AMQP support can be easily missed for the private OBS instances (like mine one).

Fedora 35 does not seem to be available on build.opensuse.org via the Add Repositories to home:m-grant-prg (Add a Distribution) page. Is there a timescale for this? Many thanks, Mark

OBS_VM_USE_TMPFS=yes supposed to work?

Hi all, is OBS_VM_USE_TMPFS=yes config for obs-worker supposed to work? If yes, how? I have the following: OBS_VM_USE_TMPFS=yes OBS_WORKER_INSTANCES=10 OBS_VM_DISK_AUTOSETUP_ROOT_FILESIZE=17400 OBS_VM_DISK_AUTOSETUP_SWAP_FILESIZE=10240 OBS_VM_USE_TMPFS=yes OBS_INSTANCE_MEMORY=6144 when bs_worker tries to start a build, it always runs out of space creating swap and root. TMPFS is mounted with size ${OBS_VM_DISK_AUTOSETUP_ROOT_FILESIZE}M. OK, that's not enough, because SWAP is also needed. I fixed the bs_worker code to add root+swap size and mount tmpfs with that size (plus 128MB for good measure / overhead / whatever). It still fails with "no space left on device" in the tmpfs, because the source packages and the config etc. is copied into the tmpfs root. I'm trying to build kiwi images. So the questions: * is this even supposed to work? (if no, we can stop here :-) * if yes, what am I doing wrong? In the old machine, with less ram, I had a custom boot.local setup that pre-created swap (symlinked to on-disk file) and root (in tmpfs, that was mounted statically and "big enough") and did not use OBS_VM_USE_TMPFS. With the new machines I wanted to simplify the setup process and just use the mechanisms provided by OBS. Fedora 35?

Could we enable https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Fedora:35? Fedora 35 is currently in beta, and going to release on or before 2021-10-26: https://fedorapeople.org/groups/schedule/f-35/f-35-key-tasks.html I had give a try for my https://build.opensuse.org/projects/home:alvistack/meta, but most likely failed: - If using Fedora:34 as fake repo backend, Fedora 35 already upgrade to python 3.10 (where Fedora 34 still coming with python 3.9), so the result packages not installable - If using Fedora:Rawhide as fake repo backend, Fedora Rawhide already upgrade to openssl 3.0 (where Fedora 35 still coming with openssl 1.1), so the result packages again not installable... I could only find a valid solution for Fedora 35 beta by building package directly with a valid https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Fedora:35... May we have https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Fedora:35 activated for now?
