[opensuse-buildservice] Failing to build ppc64 locally: ... '/usr/bin/rpmdb': No such file or directory

Hi all, I'm struggling to build a package with the ppc64 architecture for openSUSE:Factory:PowerPC locally for testing purposes. I always get > osc build --no-verify openSUSE_Factory_PowerPC ppc64 [...] [ 2s] [32/32] preinstalling rpm... [ 2s] [ 2s] initializing rpm db... [ 2s] chroot: failed to run command No such file or directory I'd like to build devel:languages:python/python-typed-ast locally because of https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1171573 for debugging purposes. Adding --clean to the command does not make a difference. Does someone know how I can fix the problem? Any help is appreciated. best wishes, Sebastian

[opensuse-buildservice] Building an OVA with kiwi-ng

Hi, I try to build a sles15 JeOS that is compatible to ESX (it does not like the vmdk format...) and changed the output type from vmdk to OVA. The build log tells me that ovftool is used for the build process but the binary is not found: [ 115s] [ INFO ]: 15:00:33 | Creating ova Disk Format [ 115s] [ DEBUG ]: 15:00:33 | "ovftool": in paths "/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/root/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin" exists: "False" mode match: not checked [ 115s] [ ERROR ]: 15:00:33 | KiwiCommandNotFound: [ 115s] [ 115s] Required tool None not found in PATH on the build host [ 115s] [ 115s] Building OVA images requires VMware's None tool which [ 115s] can be installed from the following location [ 115s] [ 115s] https://www.vmware.com/support/developer/ovf I installed the tool (in the current version 4.4) on the OBS host first without change so now I guess it must be available in the build sandbox but I don't know how to add it to the environment - the program is not even installed by a rpm or so but by a shell installer. Could I create an ovftool.rpm file from the installed binaries and add "Support: ovftool" to the project config? Does this work with kiwi builds? [opensuse-buildservice] Question on file signing

Hi all I have a question regarding signing files in OBS. I saw from the documentation that the recommended way is to set the variable BRP_PESIGN_FILES, so that the files are signed at the second build by pesign-obs-integration. Would it be possible to directly connect to the signer from the worker so that the signature can be included during the first build?
