OBS 2.8.4 Released ================== This release fixes a bug in the LDAP connection handling. OBS update are available from the following projects: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/OBS:Server:2.8 The appliance can be downloaded from http://openbuildservice.org/download Details from the Release Notes of 2.8.4: ======================================== Updaters from OBS 2.8.0 release can just upgrade the packages and restart all services. Updaters from former releases should read the README.UPDATERS file. Feature backports: ================== * None Changes: ======== * None Bugfixes: ========= * [webui][api] In LDAP mode if the LDAP server closed the connection to obs and a user tried to login they would get an unauthorized response. Hey, I'm an aspiring open source contributor, I wanted to contribute to openSUSE and have claimed a beginners issue, https://github.com/openSUSE/open-build-service/issues/4280, I have worked with MVC architectures before and know the basics of Ruby On Rails. I'm also proficient with the VSC in use. As the code base is large, I wanted some guidance. Has the code been documented somewhere? How do I start with the above-mentioned issue? How do I start reading the code, in general, to contribute to other issues on the project? Some help on the above question will be really appreciated. [ 1703s] Usually a strcmp() was intended by the programmer [ 1703s] E: palemoon stringcompare /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/Pale-Moon-27.7.1_Release/toolkit/xre/nsAppRunner.cpp:3597 I did report it upstream and got this: https://github.com/MoonchildProductions/Pale-Moon/issues/1581 AFAIK I am not a developer. [opensuse-buildservice] Jobs running and scheduling all the time

Hi, on our local instance we have an ARM worker integrated. This worker builds packages for Debian 8/9 and Ubuntu 16.04. However the buildprocess for debian9 never stops. It builds the package successfully and schedules it afterwards. Any suggestion what and where to check why this happens? Hi, I have a project https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:rawtherapee/rawtherapee-unstab… and 2 problems with dependencies: x86_64 - "have choice for libasan3 >= 6.1.1+r238085-1.12 needed by gcc6: libasan3 libasan3-gcc6" i586 - "nothing provides bzr needed by obs-service-tar_scm, nothing provides git-core needed by obs-service-tar_scm, nothing provides subversion needed by obs-service-tar_scm" Repositories are configured in the same way as for openSUSE Leap 42.1 and 42.3 (works fine). Hi, I'm new to OBS, but it looks like a very useful service. Is there any reason OBS doesn't support Debian Unstable and Testing distributions? I see that it supports Fedora Rawhide. [opensuse-buildservice] ARM AppImage libreadline.so.7 issue

Hi folks, I'm facing a problem that I never saw before. First of all, this is the first time I'm trying to build an AppImage and the arch is ARM but the very building doesn't even start and this message appears: /bin/bash: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.7:\ cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Then the kernel panics. So I'm wondering if this is a known issue and the right people is aware of it. Thanks in advance for your attention, Luciano.
