Hi, I trying to clearly mark my local builds, currently with Release: <CI_CNT>.<B_CNT>.SEIFE in select project configs. Now I want to do this for all projects in my OBS instance. Is there a global prjconf I could edit, or is it necessary to hack the code (which would probably be Build.pm in the obs-build package)? Hello. I offer a patch for the review. The simple description: The project configuration can have several paths, for example with prebuild packets. RPM-packets search for build root is performed only on the last path. And the build can end with an error 'getbinaries: missing packages:'. [opensuse-buildservice] Adding CentOS SIG repos in OBS and Developer Toolset access for RHEL?

Hey, I've filed a request to add CentOS SIG repos to the CentOS OBS projects[1] a little over a month ago so that things like Software Collections (especially the Developer Toolset[2]) are available for users to use as build dependencies for packages built in OBS. Can someone *please* add these so that I don't have to try to do the horrific job of attempting to build all of this stuff in OBS? There's no reason I should have to do that when it's already available. And it would also be nice if the RHEL 6/7 targets also had access to the Developer Toolset stuff, as it's generally part of the RHEL subscription and Red Hat has been encouraging people to use them for building software for RHEL. In fact, even EPEL will be enabling its use soon[3]. Without it, it's impossible to build software that needs newer compilers, among other things. Thanks in advance. [opensuse-buildservice] Build result state not updating

Hi everybody. The rsyslog project is currently trying out OBS to transition to this build environment in the future. So far, getting into the system is working well. But, since yesterday I am observing a strange behaviour with the builds. When I did my first steps last week, the schedulers were usually quick to update the state of a build. But yesterday, this seems to not work correctly anymore. What I observed was that yesterday the scheduler would only initiate the build for the ppc64 architecture, but not for i586 or x86_64 builds. I wasn't thinking much of it. But today the i586 builds seem to be "succeeded" according to the status and x64 builds are finished, but not yet succeeded. The question is now: Is this a known problem? Is the scheduler just "hanging"? Can I do something about this? Interesting note: While writing this, I decided to trigger one rebuild and suddenly all the states switched to "succeeded". So, it looks like something was actually locked up somehow. Still, the questions stay the same. Any insight you guys can provide is much appreciated. I'm also proficient with the VSC in use. As the code base is large, I wanted some guidance. Has the code been documented somewhere? How do I start with the above-mentioned issue? How do I start reading the code, in general, to contribute to other issues on the project? Some help on the above question will be really appreciated. Hi, on our local instance we have an ARM worker integrated. This worker builds packages for Debian 8/9 and Ubuntu 16.04. However the buildprocess for debian9 never stops. It builds the package successfully and schedules it afterwards. Any suggestion what and where to check why this happens? Hi, I have a project https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:rawtherapee/rawtherapee-unstab… and 2 problems with dependencies: x86_64 - "have choice for libasan3 >= 6.1.1+r238085-1.12 needed by gcc6: libasan3 libasan3-gcc6" i586 - "nothing provides bzr needed by obs-service-tar_scm, nothing provides git-core needed by obs-service-tar_scm, nothing provides subversion needed by obs-service-tar_scm" Repositories are configured in the same way as for openSUSE Leap 42.1 and 42.3 (works fine). Hi folks, I'm facing a problem that I never saw before. First of all, this is the first time I'm trying to build an AppImage and the arch is ARM but the very building doesn't even start and this message appears: /bin/bash: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.7:\ cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Then the kernel panics. So I'm wondering if this is a known issue and the right people is aware of it. Thanks in advance for your attention, Luciano. [opensuse-buildservice] ardour5 with dark-colour-theme wont start

Hi, i am joining this list because i want to take contact to Eric Schirra; who, as i think is the one, who set ardour5 to the repository. Because i would very much like to, but can not use ardour5, i would try to get it properly working. It works with the preferences-gui set to "colour: light-ardour". But when i start the program, every time it takes other colours of buttons an bars an so on. It is very confusing, when i try to work with it constantly. When i edit the file: ui-config and set colour to "dark-ardour", the programm just won`t start properly. When i try this through the terminal i get a messag like "WARNING: Your system has a limit for maximum amount of locked memory! This might cause Ardour to run out of memory before your system runs out of memory. Hi, Since I'm a newbie to osc and opensuse build system, I'm wondering what's the correct way to reset a commit in osc? If it's git it can be quite easy by $ git reset --hard HEAD~1 But what's the correct method to do in osc? (BTW, currently I'm just deleting my branch in webUI and get a new branch in osc, pretty stupid) It would be better if there is some rosetta comparing git with osc. Thanks, Qu

Hi, I am new to OBS. I have created the appliance and got it working. There is a specific problem I am trying to solve. It will be great if someone can point me at the right documentation. I have to build a package on SLES12SP2. The package has build-time dependency on a few rpms which are published in a separate non-OBS rpm repository. How can I configure this ? Hey, I'm seeing a lot of unresolvable states here... Mageia Cauldron on i586: have choice for devel(libcrypto) needed by librpm-devel: libcompat-openssl10-devel libopenssl-devel, have choice for devel(liblua) needed by librpm-devel: liblua-devel liblua5.1-devel liblua5.3-devel Mageia Cauldron on x86_64: have choice for devel(libcrypto) needed by lib64rpm-devel: lib64compat-openssl10-devel lib64openssl-devel, nothing provides lib64bzip2_1, nothing provides lib64icu58 The following is needed for openssl: %ifarch x86_64 Prefer: lib64openssl-devel %else Prefer: libopenssl-devel %endif As for the librpm lua thing, it should Prefer: liblua-devel For the bzip2 and icu breakages, the libraries are now: i586: libbz2_1 libicu59 x86_64: lib64bz2_1 lib64icu59 Could these adjustments be made? Hello, python-Django package has been split into python-Django (branch 2.x python3 only) and python-Django1 (branch 1.11 with python2 support) and unfortunately this requires the following changes in prjconf: Prefer: python-Django1 Prefer: python2-Django1 Justification: python-Django1 provides and obsoletes python-django (mind lowercase, it was old Django package name), then some packages are unresolved in "have choice" state. One of the packages comes from d:l:e, other - from 'standard' distribution. Moreover, there is possible python2-Django choice clash between python-Django (from 'standard') and python-Django1. For instance: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/devel:languages:python/python-djang… Substitute: python-Django python2-Django Justification: python-Django1 does not provide python-Django. Currently, packages BuildRequiring python-Django fetch the package from 'standard' distribution. Which is not obvious by itself. Moreover, not always required version is available. The others are supervised by Trusted Users and don't need signoffs. The difference between extra and community is not all that clear. And what makes things difficult is when a package (cmake) in extra needs a package in community (rhash). I was pointing that out upstream and I got the confirmation that they don't make extra checks that a package in 'extra' doesn't depend on things in 'community'. So, C/make projects can be built with Arch_Core, but a C++/Cmake project needs Arch_Community. So, actually people should be able to choose between Arch_Core, Arch_Extra and Arch_Community and they have to pick the right repo. Hello, I would like to use OBS to do builds for korn shell, however there is already a 'ksh' package under 'shells'[1]. Can I get access to 'shells:ksh' subproject ? I have similar subproject 'shells:fish' which is used for fish shell builds. so I believe it should not be a problem to create it.
