[opensuse-buildservice] How to build debian packages locally?

My problem is that when uploaded to the Build Server, debian builds work fine. Trying openSUSE Build Service server for perl (Debian:8.0), not found at download.opensuse.org [...] I seem to recall in times past, the local build would try the upstream repository when a package wasn't found on the build service (which is true for all debian and ubuntu packages). Is there something I need to configure to get this working again? [opensuse-buildservice] Missing .repo files on RPM systems

Hi, I am currently trying to integrate the our companies local OBS instance into auto tests. On Debian systems I have all the needed files at place. However on RPM Systems the .repo file is missing in the distribution repository. Is there any switch to trigger the build of these files? obs:/srv/obs/repos/home:/abs:/def/SLE_12 # ls noarch repocache repodata src x86_64 As far as I remember there should be a .repo file, which is added via zypper on a client that should grab packages from there. [opensuse-buildservice] combined use of _aggregate and _service in a package?

Hello All, I am aware of the nice capability to copy binary build results from one project to another using the _aggregate feature. The examples I have seen thus far seem to always have the same number of repos available in the source project as are present in the destination project (although the names may be different). If that is not the case (say the destination project is introducing a new repo that wasn't present in the source project), is it possible to construct a package configuration using _aggregate to retain the binary result for the repo that existed previously, and _service to build from source for the new repository? Hi in my company we use a local and a remote OBS instance to package our products for various distributions As it is not advised to move files to a new directory in / (in SLES) we are moving them in another directory. This usually looked like this %define tftpboot /tftpboot %define opsitftpboot /tftpboot/linux %if 0%{?suse_version} == 1110 || 0%{?suse_version} == 1315 %define tftpboot /var/lib/tftpboot %define opsitftpboot /var/lib/tftpboot/opsi %endif This didnt work on SLES11 and 12. The variables were not set. However %if 0%{?suse_version} == 1110 || 0%{?suse_version} == 1315 %define tftpboot /var/lib/tftpboot %define opsitftpboot /var/lib/tftpboot/opsi %else %define tftpboot /tftpboot %define opsitftpboot /tftpboot/linux %endif works. Did anything happen to the internal procedures so that the spec file read changed? We have about 50 packages which might be affected so this would be a lot of spec file changes. [opensuse-buildservice] Question about logic in an example spec file?

I'm getting started writing a spec file for use on OBS. I'm looking at some examples to help figure stuff out. In one pkg's spec file there's this piece of code %if 0%{?suse_version} >= 1210 || 0%{?fedora_version} (1) BuildRequires: systemd %{?systemd_requires} %define have_systemd 1 %else %if 0%{?suse_version} <= 1220 (2) PreReq: %fillup_prereq PreReq: %insserv_prereq %endif %if 0%{?suse_version} > 1220 (3) PreReq: %fillup_prereq Requires: /usr/sbin/service %endif %endif ------ The way I read that if the Suse version >= 1210, the (1) 'if' clause will exec, and (2) & (3) will be skipped. But (3) requires Suse version > 1220 to execute. So there's NO WAY for the (3) clause to ever be reached, right? Why's it in there?
