Hello All, I'm running a private instance and I'd like to enable networking on my workers so they can build some java apps, via maven, which need to download pom's/war's from the net. [opensuse-buildservice] Ghost package

Hi. There is a ghost package in my OBS home project. I'm using the web interface, not the command line one. If you go to https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:jcsl:LXDE you can see the real 10 packages in the Packages box on left side, but if you look in the Build Results box, on the right side, you see 11 next to the "succeeded" text. If you then click the succeeded link you find the pcmanfm-1.2.0-beta1 package, and if you click on its link you get a Package "pcmanfm-1.2.0-beta1" not found in project "home:jcsl:LXDE", as expected. It even appears in the scheduled and building states when something I'm building triggers its build (I don't know how can this be). Any hints? [opensuse-buildservice] early stage build vm setup error

https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/home:aljex/xls2csv/DISCON… This appears to be an error that's outside my ability to fix? Early in the vm setup, mkswap gets an aerror trying to load a library that doesn't exist. This happens on all my build targets from 11.1_Update and older. They all worked fine not too long ago, though I can't say when exactly they broke. Is there in fact some way I could address this with some project or build target setting? Hi, all of my Arch packages fail with the same errors [1], not sure what's changed but I guess it's specific to Arch builds. Would be great if you can look into this. Also before the failures I believe the package databases were created incorrectly (reporting wrong package size) and thus it was impossible to install any of the packages, so it would be nice if someone can check that as well. Hey again. Our private OBS Appliance server "dies" doing build because of qemu-kvm. After 2 second we get this: [ 2s] booting kvm... Without external works, with following hardware: Intel Core i7 3.4 GHz quad-core 8GB Ddr3 1600MHz 120GB Samsung EVO SSD Intel HD Graphics 4600 On prior installation of OBS Appliance, we had the same problem and I tried to force reinstall the qemu-kvm package, which did not solve the problem. I thought OBS Appliance should run right out of the box even without external builders. Should we try 2.5.4(BUILD 1.5) or does anyone have a guess on what to do? Hi, once again I found weird behaviour when accepting MR release requests and I'm not sure if the current state is sane. I've accepted the following two requests via webui: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/242452 https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/242453 For both I got an Internal Server Error page :-( Now it seems both requests were correctly accepted and were put into the maintenance project. But still I see both requests as "open" in my task view. Is this a known issue? Do I need to clean up something? I'm getting unresolveable packages on my first attempt to build something on the RH7 image, it says it's missing groff and libidn-devel. My own CentOS 7 VMs appear to include those packages (and they're the same as what they were called on RH6/CentOS6), so is there something off about the package list at this point? [opensuse-buildservice] package available yet unresolvable

Hello All, I'm linking a number of packages from d:l:python to server:database:postgresql to fulfill dependencies for SLE_11. One of these packages, python-nose, is dependent on python-coverage, which is also a linkpac, is built and published for SLE in the postgresql repo yet is still listed as unresolvable for python-nose. Typically once a package is finished building it's immediately available within said repo but it's been nearly an hour and still unresolvable and it's been published. Hi, There was an update in KIWI, making it possible to build tar.gz able to be loaded to docker as image. I have not tested yet, but I think that it is available in OBS now. When OBS is used to build RPM, one can add http-repo to his package manager and use RPMs directly. So, what do you think? Should there be a way to automatically load images to a registry? But this leads to the new problem, the build history must be kept. Hello again. We have our own instance of OBS Appliance, where we want to allow access to github by git in a waf script (python). It can be an option for reduce builds... Or also can be scan each day/week something like that. 2. The second, as I using services, I push the file on a github repository. But I neeed to copy it on my workspace. Is it possible to give an URL to get _service, and after other files on source code repository ? Hi, We maintain and develop a set of tools for repeatable experiments over at mytestbed.net [0]. We have been using OBS for a while to build most of our packages (save for Arch, I'm not sure what to upload...) in the home namespace of one of our guys [1,2]. However, he has recently left, and we thought it might be a good time to get a project-specific namespace. Would it be possible to create a 'mytestbed' namespace in OBS for us to migrate the existing builds from [1,2], and use from then on? If needed, my OBS username is shtrom. It might however be better to make a meta user to own the namespace, with email address mytestbed(a)mytestbed.net. I can create the user manually if needed. Thanks. I have written a program, called Broadband Download Testing Tool - http://www.cppsoftware.net/freesoftware.html, using Qt SDK, and I want to create installation packages for various Linux distributions. Currently, I am creating Debian packages, using a free in price program, that I found on the web (Debcreator). So far, I created a "package", on public openSUSE build service: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:ivranos/bdtt and I uploaded all the source code files there. I am getting the error message "broken", in the build results of all targeted Linux distributions. I would like to know, what i have to do next, to correct the issue. I have tried to get an answer on the IRC, but no luck on a solution. I need to create packages for a client, which places header files in /usr/include or /usr/local/lib and .a files in /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib My problem is, when I uploaded to build.opensuse.org, and tries to build I get an permission denined, do to the fact i runs in CHROOT (which of course makes sense). I was then told to add %{buildroot} to the path /usr/lib. But still no luck. Hello, i don't no wether this is the right list. But i have a question for pakage mysql-workbench. I run 64bit openSUSE 13.1 I have a branch from server:database in my home:repo. I have upgraded my package earlier then server:database to 3.1.7. All worked without error. But then server:database upgraded too and my repo was sync. After that my version of workbench does not work anymore. So, i upload my 'old' version to build service. And now i can run it from my repo again. For me, mysql-workbennch from repo server:database does not start. Mysq-workbench from my repo home:ecsos worked without errors. Whats the different between server:database and home:ecsos? Can you please help me and explain me why my version runs and the version from server:database not? [opensuse-buildservice] Setup openbuildservice on local servers with OBS Appliance and how to connect with OSC

Hello again, yet three more questions. First I want to setup OBS on my own servers, so I tried installing OBS Appliance in VirtualBox. But no matter if I choose to install from .iso or the .vmdk I get the following: Welcome to Open Build Service(OBS) Appliance 2.5.3 based on openSUSE 13.1 (x86_64) NETWORK SETUP FAILED OBS is not usable A working DHCP and DNS server in network is required! and then the login prompt. First Question: Why network setup failed? No proper error messages or anything. My VBox is set to bridge network and all other VMachines I have works with DHCP, Though the run over NAT. Second question: I found in the documentation that the user was Admin and the password was opensuse - These credentials fails and root and no password does as well Third question: I can't seem to find documentation on how to connect via osc, to a local server. Am I just blind or are there no documentation? 3.1 If there are no documentation how do you connect to a local server using osc then? Still, xen does not start to build: prj/xen $ ibs r -v SLE_12 x86_64 blocked: kernel-xen-devel Is there a way to know what 'kernel-xen-devel' really means? Is it really the one from my own prj, or is it perhaps waiting for parts in the "upper" prj? If so, which ones exactly? Hi, I have a problem here. I would like to add python repo with python packages to my armv7hl installation. But there is no such architecture in the project. [opensuse-buildservice] builds failing for 13.1 due to udev

Hi, I have a few packages in my home project that fail to build for 13.1 with the following stuff in the logfiles: [ 204s] libudev1-208-6.1 ######################################## [ 204s] /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.UL5Gsb: line 14: udevadm: command not found [ 205s] udev-208-6.1 ######################################## [ 205s] error: unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/42- usb-hid-pm.rules;53a2f604: cpio: open failed - Inappropriate ioctl for device [ 205s] error: udev-208-6.1.i586: install failed The same packages build fine for 12.3. Any hints for me? [opensuse-buildservice] OBS statistics

Hi, recently there where a new request to provide downloads statistics into OBS. There is also a openFATE request open since some time ago [1]. The problem here is that OBS do not know the number of downloads, because this information is outside this service: it is in the Apache logs. To provide a solution I created some script that use BerkeleyDB, Redis and Flask to deploy an API to request those numbers [2]. There is some documentation about how to deploy and use the API [3]. In this version we can get information of the number of hits and visits in packages, arch, project, repositories and time periods (day / week / month). For example: /hits/day/20140215 will provide the # of hits for this day in OBS, and /visits/week/201406/science/openSUSE_12.3/x86_64/EMBOSS-6.4.0-7.1.x86_64.rpm will provide the # of different IPs for this specific package during the 6th week of 2014. I am asking for some resources before I can really deploy the application. If this happens, I will prepare everything and communicate this in this list again. The missing part is still write the number of visits and hits into the OBS web interface. I am not sure that I can do this, so I will ask for help here. Hello, Is it possible to switch the idle services/hosts to ones to that can be used. Example :idle (ppc64) to active [x86_64] ones when needed. [opensuse-buildservice] Internal server error, can not branch a package

Hi, I want to branch a existing package. But it does not work with the name "z-push-2"! Any other name works, but not "z-push-2". Creating it directly in my home project works, but not in the subproject "home:ingogoeppert:SLES". I deleted a older version of the z-push-2 package, after that it was impossible to branch the new one :-( Any hints to fix this? Ingo

Hi, just some more details about the current state. We had corrupt data inside of the old SAN box unfortunatly exactly at the area where the SQL database was hosted. Therefore we had to restore a database dump from friday. This means * No sources are lost, but new packages may not appear when listing sources. Also removed packages may appear again in sources. You may notice this when different packages are listed in sources and build results. We will run a full check for this, but this will take some time. In case you do not want to wait in this situation, you can recreate the package or project, eg. by "osc meta pkg -e ...." and editing anything. The database and source server will be in sync again afterwards. You may also delete the package again now. * Requests are in the old state. - Accepted requests can just be accepted again in most cases. Except other changes happened, but you will notice because the source package will be in "broken" state then. - decline/revoke requests can just be closed again. - a limited number of new requests have a different number now, because the old requests got lost. The lesson we learned from this is to configure at least for MySQL a master/slave setup. We won't have full HA by this, but at least broken SAN systems can not create these kind of problems again.
