[opensuse-buildservice] Dependency conflicts in Ubuntu

Hi, I have a package in my personal project at the openSUSE Build Service that I build for several distributions. For Ubuntu I get "unresolvable" errors: "have choice for libjpeg-dev needed by libhdf5-serial-dev: libjpeg-turbo8-dev libjpeg-dev, have choice for libjpeg-dev needed by libhdf4-dev: libjpeg-turbo8-dev libjpeg-dev". For Ubuntu 12.10 I additionally get even more: "have choice for libblas3gf | libblas.so.3gf | libatlas3gf-base needed by python-numpy: libblas3 libblas3gf, have choice for liblapack3gf | liblapack.so.3gf | libatlas3gf-base needed by python-numpy: liblapack3 liblapack3gf". For RPM based distributions, I solve such kind of conflicts by adding appropriate entries in the Project Config, so I currently have there for instance: %if 0%{?centos_version} || 0%{?rhel_version} Prefer: atlas %endif %if 0%{?fedora_version} == 18 Prefer: texlive-simplecv %endif Does something similar also work for DEB based distributions? [opensuse-buildservice] NOTE: auto-cleanup of ~:branches: projects is active now!

To reduce the build load of our build.opensuse.org instance we did activate the new auto-cleanup mechanism of OBS now. This means, by default all default branch projects (home:<ACCOUNT>:branches:...) get an attribute to self-destruct after a given time (currently 60 days). No panic, this is less grave as you may think now, because: * The deletion will happen via a request. [opensuse-buildservice] Dependencies supplied by subproject found for some repos, not for others

Hello, I have a hard time figuring out what causes this, and how to resolve it: In my home project https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/home:edogawa I'm building packages that depend on packages from another project from OBS, home:rncbc. So I branched those I need to a subproject of mine, and they build without errors for the target repos I need. The subproject got added to my project's meta config, for every target repo, too. Surprisingly I get unresolvable dependencies, but only for some target repos though. qmidiarp cannot find liblo-devel >= 0.26 (branches:home:rncbc has 0.27), and synthclone shows missing liblilv-0-0 and a few others that the respective -devel packages (from BuildRequires:) depend on. [opensuse-buildservice] Dep resolution in libreoffice broken when adding Requires(pre): %{name}-%{version}

Hi, as per summary in libreoffice spec the lang packages are expanded from macro. For some unrelated stuff I need to have dep in post over the package itself so I added it to the spec the above and it now fails with following error localy and is unresolvable in OBS: buildinfo is broken... it says: │·································· unresolvable: nothing provides \ The change is only this but it can be of course contained only for that requires(pre) line. https://build.opensuse.org/package/rdiff/LibreOffice:Factory/libreoffice?li… I am not exactly sure what is wrong, but given that fedora people can use something similar with rpmbuild i would not deem the spec approach as really broken. [opensuse-buildservice] Missing packages for Ubuntu in openSUSE Build Service

Hi, I have a package in my personal project at the openSUSE Build Service [1] that I build for several distributions. For most of them it works fine, but for Ubuntu 12.04, 12.10, and 13.04 I get an "unresolvable" error: "nothing provides libhdf5-serial-dev, nothing provides libhdf4-dev, nothing provides libmxml-dev" But these packages are in the official Ubuntu repository, see: - http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/libdevel/libhdf4-dev - http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/libdevel/libhdf5-serial-dev - http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/libdevel/libmxml-dev Consequently I do see these packages on a Ubuntu 12.04.3 box having only (mirrors of) the standard repositories configured with "aptitude search". Do I miss some Ubuntu package repository in the project or am I doing some other stupid mistake or why are these packages missing? [opensuse-buildservice] ARM build failures due to missing kernel-obs-build

Hi, on a private OBS instance, I get lots of ARM build failures due to the following error: "getbinaries: missing packages: kernel-obs-build" Some packages are building fine others are in failed state due to this error. Is there anything I can do other than trigger a rebuild? Hi, I'm not able to find the nss-pam-ldap package for openSUSE 13.1. Generally, the build process for all versions seems to be broken.
