[opensuse-buildservice] [osc]two spec templates in one file.

Hi, I have this problem since I update to 12.2Beta2. after I "osc mkpac package", I use "vi package.spec" to open a spec file skeleton this works without problem in 12.1 but recently it fills another skeleton just blow the %changelog section. any way I can do to debug it? ps: I want to improve this skeleton a little, but where it is? I've checked osc repo on github, but there's no such template at all. Hi, I am trying to get into the details of rpm building and was looking for a comprehensive documentation, reflecting the latest changes and developments of rpm. So far I have found lots of docs, including "maximum rpm" [1], which is quite comprehensive, but not really up to date. Then there is the fedora documentation [2], which seems more up to date, but rather fedora specific. I was looking for THE definite source of rpm documentation. Have I missed anything? [opensuse-buildservice] Local fedora build fails on openSUSE host

Hi, I am trying to locally build a package for Fedora17, on a openSUSE 12.1 host. Hi, When I am fascinated with Open Build Service,I would like to setup my own OBS just for fun. I did the job following README.SETUP Guideline in obs-api rpm step by step ,And Now I can access my OBS very well. When I submit my changes from my Home Project to Other Projects , how did I know about how to get the submit state expect I must check the Other Project's package? My submit request was Accepted or Declined ?? I am so confused about it. Anybody can help me? Hi, some days ago darix and I had a small discussion about verifying the integrity of the downloaded packages which are used for local builds. The idea is that we add a checksum for each package to the buildinfo xml so that a client/osc can "easily" check if the downloaded file is corrupted. For instance we could add the hdrmd5 to buildinfo (this would require only a small change in the backend) or alternatively we add the md5 of the whole package to the buildinfo (this would probably require a bigger change in the backend). The advantage of the latter is that it is much easier to verify for the client (but then I don't think there are many clients which deal with the buildinfo at all...). Hello all, A strange problem, i have build Heartbeat package (https://build.opensuse.org/package/binaries?package=Heartbeat&project=home%…), and when i go to download repository, the package isn't here. The older packages are here, but the new package (heartbeat), is not present. What i am missing? Hi, here's a small summary of the 8th (coding) week. The last days I was working on getting build support into the osc2 library. I just checked in a BuildInfo and Builder class (+ testcases). Here's a brief example how they can be used: # example how to use the Builder class builder = Builder(su_cmd=Builder.SUDO, root='/var/tmp/build-root') builder.rpmlist = '/path/to/rpmlist' builder.dist = '/path/to/buildconfig' builder.without = 'feature1' builder.without += 'feature2' builder.arch = 'x86_64' # run the build: builder.run('/path/to/osc.spec') # this executes: sudo /usr/bin/build --arch x86_64 --dist /path/to/buildconfig \ --root /var/tmp/build-root --rpmlist /path/to/rpmlist \ --without feature1 --without feature2 /path/to/osc.spec Basically Builder is just a wrapper around the build script (all options will be passed to the build script; if an option contains a "-" character like "vm-type" it can be set like this: "binfo.vm_type = 'xen'" (a "_" will be replaced with "-")). Additionally here's a small example how to utilize the BuildInfo class: # fname is a path to a spec file binfo = BuildInfo('openSUSE:Tools', 'osc', 'openSUSE_Factory', 'x86_64', filename=fname) # print preinstall packages for bdep in binfo.preinstall(): print bdep.get('name'), bdep.get('version') # save binfo xml in a file binfo.write_to('/path/to/file.xml') The next thing on my TODO is the fetcher and cachemanager code.
