Hi all, I wonder if an issue with publishing exists for openSUSE:Factory? Nothing that has been build after May 06 2012 has been published for openSUSE:Factory. Hi, when starting up my obs server / worker I get these odd output. Withing the footer the links "Help"/"Open Build Service Portal" and "Help"/"Building Packages" should point to en.opensuse... instead to wiki.opensuse... Always when I want to modify Hermes' settings I have to search around. Can a link to hermes be include into the user settings or somewhere else? [opensuse-buildservice] setting up an Ubuntu/Debian distribution project on a local OBS installation

How are the distribution projects for Ubuntu (like Ubuntu:10.04) set up on build.opensuse.org? Of course, I see the project and raw configs, but the rest is unclear to me. I'm trying to set up an Ubuntu distribution project in a local OBS install to have locally for quicker access and avoid the intermittent but frequent proxy/latency issues we see when just pointing to distribution projects on build.opensuse.org. We can't use download on demand in this case, as we'd like to also have the ability to utilize updated packages from the -updates and -security Ubuntu repositories (e.g. precise-updates and precise-security), and the download on demand feature doesn't like it when repositories change at all. To do this, the instructions at http://gitorious.org/opensuse/build-service/blobs/master/dist/README.SETUP recommend (in section 4.2) copying the distribution project over from build.opensuse.org using obs_mirror_project and /srv/www/obs/api/script/import. However, I have an internal Ubuntu (non-OBS) mirror, so it really makes no sense to pull all these packages from outside. It's also unclear to me how to keep a deb-based distribution project up-to-date after the initial import. I've looked through the documentation (and done lots of web searches) for how to do this. The best I can find is to either use download on demand, just point to build.opensuse.org or just copy the distribution project from build.opensuse.org. As I said, though, none of those are good options for me. I've spent time looking through the OBS source, and it looks like bs_admin is what parses repositories for sourcing, but it doesn't necessarily seem to indicate how OBS wants me to set up the actual Ubuntu distribution project. I see that bs_srcserver seems to also do some of the work. I am not terribly familiar with the OBS source, so it's likely that I've missed something. [opensuse-buildservice] Uploading huge sources

I have a few packages that are part of a game's data, and have huge source tarballs, around 600M combined. I just got the factory SR declined with the usual "no services allowed, use localrun". Thing is, in this case, there's no way I can upload the tarballs from my computer. I don't have the bandwidth or connection stability to do that. What options do I have? [opensuse-buildservice] Moving a home subproj to a devel project

Hello All, I wanted to inquire about how to go about moving a home sub-project to under a devel project? I've just completed the mass import into OBS of the CRAN (comprehensive R archive network) package repository, 3449 individual packages, into a sub-project of mine but I think the project should be moved to reside under devel:languages:R. Can someone advise on how to accomplish this? Hi, Since I updated to this final release (from a previous/beta release), my system contains a lot of links to nonexistant images in the webui, e.g. images/home_grey.png, images/icons/comment_delete.png, images/package.png, images/icons/accept.png, images/icons/brick_edit.png, ... When I search for those on disk, I find such dead links: buildservice:/srv/www/obs/webui/public/images # find /srv/ -name brick_edit.png /srv/www/obs/webui/public/vendor/neutral/images.rpmold/icons/brick_edit.png buildservice:/srv/www/obs/webui/public/images # ls -al /srv/www/obs/webui/public/vendor/neutral/images.rpmold/icons/brick_edit.png lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 42 Jun 29 2011 /srv/www/obs/webui/public/vendor/neutral/images.rpmold/icons/brick_edit.png -> ../../../bento/images/icons/brick_edit.png ../../../bento/images/icons/brick_edit.png does not exist in this case Everything is working, but it looks quite ugly... [opensuse-buildservice] Notification plugin fail

I need some help/insight on the notification system in OBS. I wrote a tiny perl module as a notification plugin to replace Hermes (we only have very modest needs for notifications at Packman, Hermes is both overkill and barely documented). The trouble is that I only see a single notification coming in (a SRCSRV_START), but no SRCSRV_REQUEST_CREATE, which is actually what I'm looking for. The module is here: http://susepaste.org/38190545 After putting it into BSConfig.pm like this: our $notification_plugin = "notify_email"; and restarting the srcserver, all I get into the log file is a SRCSRV_START. We will take down OBS server side building tomorrow, maybe the entire day. The reason is that we will sync the entire binary backend data to a new file system and switch to it. software.o.o, api.o.o and build.o.o will operate normal except for some minutes when doing the real switch. That means you will be able to submit sources and do local builds. Just server side builds and publishing will not be possible. Hi, I added some lines to my project config to ease RHEL6/CentOS6 packaging and was told by Ismail Dönmez that it maybe useful to integrate them at a higher level. So here they are: %if 0%{?centos_version} >= 600 || 0%{?rhel_version} >= 600 Substitute: libxerces-c-devel xerces-c-devel Substitute: pkg-config pkgconfig Substitute: libexpat-devel expat-devel %endif One more question while I am here: Does anyone know if the package lists for CentOS and RHEL always differ (for instance concerning xerces-c) or whether this is a build service peculiarity? Hi, now that building has started again, how about the discussion about link vs. aggregate starts again, too... I'm looking at the status page, and I see that almost half of the page is full of kernels being built. Why is that? Because people forked them. Hello, the openSUSE:Tools:2.1 gives me permission denied error wenn running "zypper lu" :~ # LANG=C zypper lu Permission to access 'http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tools:/2.1/SLE_11_SP1/r…' denied. Abort, retry, ignore? [a/r/i/?] (a): a Problem retrieving files from 'openSUSE:Tools:2.1'. Permission to access 'SLE_11_SP1/repodata/repomd.xml' denied. Please see the above error message for a hint. Warning: Disabling repository 'openSUSE:Tools:2.1' because of the above error. Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... No updates found.
