[opensuse-buildservice] osc (local) build, Fedora_15 problem

Hi, I know that building in a chroot might affect my build host's /proc and I'am doing it only on unimportant machines. But here I have a very bad thing which is maybe worth to fix somehow. When I am doing osc build against Fedora_15 it sets domainname to something stupid during installation of the buildroot. This results in losing all my NIS users and the whole build host becomes unusable. This problem appears with Fedora_15 buildroot only. I don't know if it would be against the design of the buildroots to find Fedora's guilty post install script or whatever and correct this. [opensuse-buildservice] non deterministic build failures on 64bit kvm build hosts

Hi, This was originally posted on factory list, see thread "Internal compiler error at 64-bit". I post again here because it's an OBS problem I think: Many packagers have non deterministic build errors since a few days. Mostly "internaler compiler erros" which may even result in strange random errors during "make" if such error happened aleready in configure's checks. I've diffed a lot logfiles and came to some vague conclusions: 1. Errors happens on kvm vms 64bit only. 2. It's because the 64bit kvm vms are started without -cpu in opposite to the 32bit ones. Therefore we have original (so random, differnt) host cpu flags when building 64bit stuff but generic ones on i586. 3. Hi, We're using osc at work, and I've run into an issue that I'm not quite sure how to deal with. I work remotely so I tend to use ssh alot. I tried setting keyring = 0 (and 1 and commented out) in my ~/.oscrc file, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. I've also tried running osc with --no-gnome-keyring and get the same error. [opensuse-buildservice] [PATCH] make project name available to source services

I've been working with the source services to provide a tighter integration between OBS and a version control system. I'd like to be able to get configuration parameters for a source service from the project config. That way, I can copy the _service file between two projects, and the project config determines, for example, which SCM branch to use. That way I can have something like: project (uses the main development branch) project:branch (uses a 'bugfix' branch) That way, the project config (one place to edit) can hold the branch to use, instead of the _service file(s) - which can be numerous, depending on the number of packages in a project. Since the project config is in /srv/obs/projects/<project>.cfg, it's a simple matter of to scan the <project>.cfg file for a special term - like %git_branch, and return a value which is used to generate the tarball from the version control system. The problem is that I need a way to make the project name available to the source service. [opensuse-buildservice] Is there any whay to publish an binary repository?

Hello, We are using private OBS instance to build our projects. Is it possible to publish the binary projects to allow use of OBS as global repository server? [opensuse-buildservice] package rebuild

Hi, In my home project I have a package libdbusmenu-qt. A library that exports the menubar of applications written in qt using dbus. However if I change something in the package it get's rebuild and all qt applications too, but even icon-theme's, KDE plasmoids and I don't what magic causes the to do so. :) So why do they get all rebuild, when libdbusmenu-qt get's ?
