Is there an anonymous API call to get the repoitories of a given project? [opensuse-buildservice] Enterprise Linux - Adding Scientific Linux as an option

Hi, Would it be possible to add Scientific Linux (SL) as a build target on the system - given that the RHEL6 archive is somewhat deficient in packages. SL is a near replica of Enterprise Linux sponsored by Labs and Universities without the copyright issues of the real thing, and as they have staffers organising it the releases and fixes tend to come out more promptly than other EL rebuilds I could mention. New systems will be installed and migrated. Old systems will stay in place for some time, afterwards they will be used as - image builder instance - A test OBS server running our OBS appliances. - A hudson instance will be evaluated in a XEN guest on our VM farm first. source service: new automatic commit ==================================== * Michael wants to implement generated source commits by services differently. Generated files will be only available on expanded view (similar to _link handling). This should improve the history and diff handling. Michael will create a prototype for rediscussion. SoC status ========== Sascha reported from SoC projects: * osc cleanup and python library creating work is in good progress * browser testing project evaluates test frameworks * arch linux support created own git repo to start Discussion about support of sub directories in sources. The source server would not have a problem, but it would change the api and all clients would need to support it. Most likely the biggest problem would be the support in osc. We may evaluate this later on. 2.3 status ========== Topic was postponed to a later meeting today. [opensuse-buildservice] Repository for commercial games with FOSS code

Hello fellow packagers ! I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to add a new project for commercial games for which the source code is open. The purpose is to have them integrated with the system (path and library-wise) when they don"t provide packages themselves. Some examples are: - Aquaria - Revenge of the titans - Frogatto - maybe Minecraft one day, as told by its developer. There might be more in the future. The project name could simply be "games:commercial", containing packages with only the source code. One problem is to make it easy for people who bought the games to copy/install the non-free game data. We need some kind of script or GUI application that can locally create a RPM based on the game data and/or original game archive, then install that RPM on the local machine. Another problem is that the only people who can package these games properly are the ones who own them, else they won't be able to test the packages. What do you think ? [opensuse-buildservice] Adding a distribution support from scratch

Hi, I'd like to add support for Pardus to OBS. Pardus is not an RPM based distribution, it has its own package format and packaging tools. I've been digging around the internet, openSUSE portal and gitorious for a few days but I can't really find a documentation. So we have, OSC - the client OBS - the build service build - build script which builds RPM packages in a sandbox I'm planning to use the provided OBS appliances to add support for Pardus packages instead of preparing whole build-service related packages for Pardus from scratch. So the host will be an openSUSE OBS appliance for now, not Pardus. >From what I've understand, that OBS appliance should be able to build Pardus packages on its own. So I'll have to port the related tools and dependencies to that environment first. That's not a big issue, it's just preparing a few RPM packages and installing them over openSUSE. The hard part is to teach the OBS how to build Pardus packages. Should I prepare a functionally equivalent build script for Pardus similar to what rests at: http://gitorious.org/opensuse/build/trees/master Finally, is the whole process of giving support for Pardus packages feasible? Is the build service and the lower layers are modular/flexible enough to add that support or will this be too invasive for a non-RPM distribution? [opensuse-buildservice] [Source services][tar_scm]pack only specific files

Hi, I have a big git repository, containing source files for different sub-packages mixed in different subdirectories. I want to use source services to automatically fetch the sources and spec files from git, and create the tar file containing only the relevant files/subdirectories. The "subdir" parameter of tar_scm is a good start, but unfortunately only works once. So I have added a new parameter "include" which works exactly in the opposite way as "exclude": If this parameter is present (can be specified multiple times), only those files/directories explicitly specified will get in the tar file. If "subdir" is also present, the include files are relative to "subdir". I have only tested it for git, since it is the only repository I have, but all the changes are outside the scm specific section, so it should also work for subversion and mercurial. Hi all, My name is Ronan and I am working together with Gustav-Vladimir in the team of Dominig Ar Foll on the obs project. We have experienced two problems when working locally (VM installation) with the obs version "obs-server.x86_64-2.1.8-Build1.6-vmx.tar": 1) We've followed the guideline ->"Log on to the Web UI as Admin and click on the icon "Setup OBS". Accept the default. It should work." at http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Build_Service_private_instance_boot_strappi…, but were unable to locate the icon "Setup OBS". We've obtained an error message in the center of the obs interface "Error Details: Errorcode: unknown Message: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <status code="unknown"> <summary>uncaught exception: <status code="400"> " where we actually have expected to find the icon "Setup OBS". Is this a bug or a casualty of an update? 2) We can't add a repository to build against (target) to my project. When choosing fedora as a target, we've got the following error message: "Failed to add build targets: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> The link target project openSUSE.org:Fedora:1 ". Is this a bug or a casualty of an update? 3) The Meego choice did not appear on the builld target interface. Is it a bug or do we have to add the repo manually in order to make it visible on the interface? If yes, which repo url should we use? Thank you in advance. Hello Mates, actual i'm helping out a little bit in the KDE:Active Repository. In Calligra OBS says: "The link contains errors: conflict in file calligra.changes. The webui has no support to resolve conflicts yet. Please use osc checkout and osc pull commands on command line to fix this conflict."
