[opensuse-buildservice] [PATCH] - fixup build for BuildRequires: Sun JRE

The RPM %post for the official SUN JRE will mount /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc, which causes all of the "umount -n $BUILD_ROOT/proc" in init_buildsystem and build to fail. Then, when the next build comes up /proc is still mounted and the clean of the buildroot tries to recursively rm -rf all of proc. Attached is the straightforward patch to fix this for both 'build' and 'init_buildsystem'. I've been carrying these privately for > 6 months now. Please apply, I'm tired of breaking my build service every time I upgrade. :) A better long-term fix would be to use the 'unshare(CLONE_NEWNS)' system call to detach from the parents FS so that mounts of /proc, etc wont outlive the build process. This would also completely eliminate the need to umount when complete. But this would require a much more intrusive reorganization of the build code. -- Michael

[opensuse-buildservice] Packages keep rebuilding (no commits and have no BuildRequires)

At home:RedDwarf:fakePackman all the packages keep rebuilding against openSUSE_11.2 (openSUSE:Factory/snapshot) while the openSUSE_11.1 builds works fine. I'm disabling the build of all of them, but have keep libmp4v2-devel for debugging purposes. Any idea? It is the first commit, there are no new ones (note that I removed and recreated the the package, perhaps something survived the deletion?) and the packages have no BuildRequires that would explain the rebuild. Note that there are some files not included as sources in the spec file (and I would prefer to keep this this way)... but if isn't a problem for 11.1 I don't expect it to be for Factory. [opensuse-buildservice] linked package kept in broken state

Hi, I have the package python-logilab-astng in home:frispete:branches:KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop, which is linked from home:frispete:branches:devel:languages:python. After fixing the source with applying the upstream changes, the linked package is kept in broken state ("could not apply project.diff"). As I understand linked packages, they fetch everything from the source - shouldn't it pick up the fixed stuff, at least after a triggered rebuild? The most recent version of this software, which is 0.5.4, only builds in openSUSE factory because it requires a higher version of gtkmm. For the other openSUSE versions like 11.1, only the version 0.4.1 can compile. My question here is whether it is allowed, by convention, to mix such package versions ? It means I would have to modify the spec file to detect which openSUSE version we're building against, and switch the version field accordingly. It also means that both versions of the sources of lifeograph will be present in the OBS package and would also be packed together into the same SRC RPM. Is that correct ? Hello, On the https://build.opensuse.org/monitor page I noticed the job time is 10 hours or more for all jobs except 3 of them. All my jobs in the queue are blocked. Is something broken ? Hello Mates, today i've packaged the bleachbit for Contrib. But now i'm getting: Sending ChangeLog Deleting bleachbit-0.6.3.tar.bz2 Sending bleachbit-0.6.4.tar.bz2 Deleting bleachbit-rpmlintrc Sending bleachbit.changes Sending bleachbit.spec Server returned an error: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden Insufficient permissions to delete file Transmitting file data I found out, that i'm not listed as Maintainer. But in the *.changes i'm listed as Maintainer. There are only 4 status searches possible on the Status Monitor page. However there are 12 statusses possible. Also it is not possible NOT to have a stutus selected. Would it be possible to add the other 8 and a blank one as well? [opensuse-buildservice] Enable ARM 'acceleration' for debian builds on public OBS?

Hi guys (- especially Michael) I was wondering if we could get a new drop of the build package onto the public OBS this week? The work I did (following Martin and Jan-Simon) on using a native compiler inside a qemu chroot for debian/ubuntu ARM builds is working well locally (kernels, Qt build) and just needs a slight tweak to allow it to build the packages on the public service. They are in SVN (r8090, r8091 FYI) Doing this would reduce the Mer build load on the OBS quite significantly. Adrian reviewed them on irc and was happy. I think Martin has tested them ...
