Hello all, Anyone can explain me why i have this failure when building a package? [opensuse-buildservice] getting packages upgraded

Hi, How does one go about getting some Perl packages upgraded. Here is the list of upgrades I am interested in. Clone - have 0.18 - latest 0.31 - this is in the standard project File::Remove - have 0.31 - latest is 1.42 - this is in the devel:language:perl project List::Util - have 1.19 - latest is 1.21 - ??? not found using package search; I take it core modules are treated differently? Test::More - have 0.72 - latest 0.94 - ??? not found using package search; I did make modifications to update File:Remove on my local machine using: osc co devel:langauges:perl/perl-File-Remove But now I don't know what to do with these changes. Help is appreciated. Hi, I am having a version resolution problem in that my spec file triggers the following error message: Building perl-Test-ClassAPI.spec for openSUSE_11.1/x86_64 Getting buildinfo from server buildinfo is broken... it says: expansion error: nothing provides perl-Class-Inspector >= 1.23 The project is home:rjschwei:perl-test-classapi The spec file contains the following tags: Requires: perl-Class-Inspector >= 1.23 ... BuildRequires: perl-Class-Inspector >= 1.23 I have added <path repository="openSUSE_11.1" project="devel:languages:perl"/> to the meta data and according to https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?file=perl-Class-Inspector.spec… the Class-Inspector package is at version 1.23, something confirmed based on the package installed on my system: -> rpm -qa | grep perl | grep Class-Inspector perl-Class-Inspector-1.23-2.1 What am I missing here? Help is much appreciated. Hi, I am trying to resolve a dependency problem and could use some help. I am trying to get home:rjschwei:perl-test-subcalls to build, this package depends on perl-Hook-LexWrap which is being built in home:rjschwei:perl-hook-lexwrap. I have the following in my spec file (perl-Test-SubCalls.spec) Requires: perl-Hook-LexWrap >= 0.20 And according to the Tips & Tricks page for the build service I added the following to the meta data: <path repository="openSUSE_11.1" project="home:rjschwei:perl-hook-lexwrap"/> and <path repository="openSUSE_Factory" project="home:rjschwei:perl-hook-lexwrap"/> for openSUSE 11.1 and openSUSE factory, respectively. Yet when I attempt to build the perl-Test-SubCalls package I still get the following in the build log. + perl Makefile.PL Warning: prerequisite Hook::LexWrap 0.20 not found. The result is that the tests fail. What else do I need to do to get the perl-Hook-LexWrap package properly installed into the build environment? Does this also need to show up in BuildRequires? [opensuse-buildservice] Devel packages not a links to Factory

Hi, during work on fix for apache2-mod_jk I found that even if the Apache:Modules/apache2-mod_jk is marked as devel project, it contains completely different package with newest version and a different history, which makes it as devel project unusable. So I converted it to source link and submit a fix again. Anyway I used an attached Python script to find all packages not have the _link in a filelist - their maintainers would consider to fix it. I also attached a list of affected packages. BTW: is there any simple way how to convert the package to source link? I used the sequence osc linkpac openSUSE:Factory $PACKAGE $PROJECT osc rremove $PROJECT $PACKAGE `osc ls $PROJECT $PACKAGE | grep -v _link` but it messed the commit log, because every one deletion is one commit. Today I received the following question form a user: ----- snip I am trying to install R-package from the One-click Install but am running into problems. The R-base.ymp file that you have is looking for http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/SUSE:/SLE-10:/SDK/standard I am installing this with OCICLI and it bombs out because it cannot find that particular directory. Can you please suggest a workaround for this? ----- snip Well, he's right, there's no such directory on download.opensuse.org, nevertheless it is given in R-base.ymp, generated by the build service itself. Where can I (or he) find the information how to handle dependencies for SLE-10? [opensuse-buildservice] small patch to build-compare

build-compare brings a dependency for build.rpm in the build root for just one utility: "unrpm". However, unrpm is just a ~50 line shell script that can be written in one line, removing the dependency on build.rpm.
